obtaining the license is only the start of your riding experience....

going thru the number of times for the test does not equate to you being better off than the rest...just luck i would think....

Riding School just teach us the basics....Riding skills needs to be picked up and honed on the road...everyday road condition varies....so it will depend on each individual to adapt and make the right decision on the road....

making the wrong decision on the road may be fatal or cause serious injury....it does not matter how many yrs you have been riding or how many times you took your TP....one wrong decision or reckless act will be "IT"

Point to note: it matters not who is at fault....if bikers are involved in a accident, we are the ones who will be hit the hardest....

Ride Safe guys!!

Thanks for the insight gweester.

i'll always bear it in mind..

Always nice to have you guys sharing your experiences and getting

different views from fellow riders/scooterists.

Safety always comes first as what my hubby constantly reminds me

and the boys of Aj Scooters.

Time to snooze now....Early TP day ahead...hehehhe

Right then... First things first... GO LIONS... excellent news.

Cephelix..... that's quite a question... not sure how to answer it...

Buying a helmet depends on quite a few factors.

Firstly and most importantly, does it fit your head (momo is one of the few brands that have a size big enough for me).

Secondly, is it safe.... well for the price it had better be (but it's not SG approved so may be an issue... don't ask me why please).

Thirdly, do you like the functions, eg does the visor feel easy to use, buckle easy to attach etc....

Looks are what attract you to a helmet, but shuld be way down the list when you're buying... The helmet must satisfy the above first.

So, is spending 350 on a Helmet from MOMO worth it. I don't know. Is spending 150 on a wallet from Dolce & Gabana worth it? Is spending 275 on an original leather Piaggio rear carrier worth it? That all depends.

Personally, the MOMO in my experience is a comfy and well designed helmet which I hope will do its job in the event of an accident. It is however not as safe as wearing a full-face. Like I said earlier, my next helmet will be a flip-up full-face... the MOMO helmet (while looking damn cool) does not make me look significantly less silly on my Vespa, and with a baby on the way, I want to be wearing something that protects my brain AND my smile.

To anyone who wears a brain bucket, good luck to you, they just about manage to keep the road clean when you go down.

Any 100 dollar helmet will be as safe as the MOMO... if you want safer, buy a full face and deal with the heat.... they are hot (hence the flip-up)....
