really? haha on the other hand, i think this thread is like a "chat" thread whereas the classics thread is a lot more technical. the people who post in here regularly and the people who post regularly in the classics thread are pretty different as well. for instance, tazzy_jnr and i post in this thread a lot more regularly as compared to the regularity we post in the classics thread. and vice versa when it comes to people like sharpey, machine_k, maz and a couple of others.

 

i personally feel it's a good thing to separate a thread constructed more for members of a club (and of cos chit-chatting) and a thread constructed more for technical help for classic vespa riders rather than merge the two. that way, a classic vespa rider looking for technical know-how need not filter through so much "chit-chatting". should tazzy_jnr and i move to the classics thread and chat there, i think it might actually inconvenience a couple of people

Fully agreed on the "we're all scooterhollics".... It was a truly great vibe riding with the folks from the classic thread and meeting the AJ gang... great stuff. How do I join the club btw... do I have to be a patron of Jin Cheng?

a very dangerous hobby.

 

i wasn't at the last meet-up but from what I've heard, it was fun.

 

With regards to joining aj scooters as a member, the most important criteria is...

to own a scooter.

simple right?

and you dont even have to be a customer of jin cheng motors.

although the initials aj signifies the name of ah joo, the club is managed by passionate volunteers and people who enjoy having a ball of a time riding together.

but if one is already a member of 'another' club, we wouldn't encourage it.

we wouldn't want to be accused of 'poaching' riders of other clubs.

and we have seen it happen on a few occasion with our own riders.

for what ever reasons, these people might have, be it to do business or simply being inconsiderate and a major pain..haha!

its not a nice thing to do but life goes on.

there are bound to be one or two blacksheeps running around nearby.

 

on a brighter note, we welcome ALL SCOOTERISTS, just dont get "POLITICAL" hahaha

hopefully, aziz will log in later and maybe he'll give you a more detailed explaination.

 

btw guys, its a beautiful sunny day to go for a ride...

we are fellow scooterists and would want to be friendly to all the riders.
