Agreed with Modstar except for a couple of things....

PX98 also has disc brake and was sold in Singapore... 98 meaning year 1998 onwards.. PX Millenium is the newest model that has 1 or 2 differences from the newer one...

I bought my FT plate (2001? or 2000... not sure) 2 years ago for 1.8k...

My second scoot an FR PX98(currently in bits in my spare room) cost 1.2k

I think 2.5k is the absolute max I'd pay... and I'd expect a whole lot of sweeteners to make me swallow it.

sharpey i'm with a PX98 too.FT also.

any idea where these babes are made in?? i heard pure italy but some say indonesia. sekali assembled in batam how... ??!! .

the millenium models have sweet cream colour speedometers. anyone got spares for that? i'll buy them for under a hundred.

Fluffpuff/ Tazzy: Prob not going down to the shop.

Mod/ Sharpey: Thanks for the analysis. I will try to keep them in mind.

So glad that there are lots of folks out here who are so mindful of my needs. :cheer:

Mod: So based on your analysis, would you think that your fren's bike would suit me?

well of course.

mine is all fine but it has no disc brakes.

conventional brakes to me are still effective... ..especially if you know how to apply them correctly but disc brakes..hmmm...all it takes is a slight tap .

my advise...look around the shops first.

dont rush into things yea ... coz i'm not in a hurry to sell also :p

150cc....and usually "A" plate classic vespas sell for more kos most of the "A" platers are supers or sprints...

vigano - we have all witnessed members getting all riled up over a seemingly offhand and harmless comment. it was most unpleasant but at the same time, i understand better than most as to why it happened - simply because it was all pent up frustration and excuse me for saying this, simply because those who took offence don't actually believe that you don't know who organised the charity ride. as i mentioned before, the hoo ha in this thread was not over a one-off incident but pent up frustration over many similar incidents in the past. as a member of aj scooters, i would like to thank you for your apology. however i think many of those in the know over at aj scooters would appreciate your apology a lot more if it was not structured to sound so one-off and innocent an incident.

anyhow, the crux of the matter is that we all hope such unpleasant misunderstandings do not arise again. we are all fellow scooterists, i'm sure no one likes to see strife amongst us. the scooter community should be a harmonious one and it's truly sad to see needless conflicts between fellow scooterists. but let me paint a picture to best explain my point. if you are in an organizational department which requires you to work on brainstorming and projects on a regular basis and you have a fellow colleague who repeatedly steals your ideas and presents them as his or her own, how many times will you put up with the backstabbing and snatching of all the credit and hard work before you decide to stand up for yourself? and how many times of repeated backstabbing from your very own colleague cum friend will you tolerate before you start wondering if this colleague is your friend? the answer is very obviously not many times and i am pretty surprised that it took this long for things to get out in the open. my friends at aj scooters have shown amazing tolerance so far but i believe their patience and tolerance has finally snapped. i believe they still regard you as a friend. but as i said, it's only a matter of time before people start questioning friendship if things continue the way they are.

anyway, i'm sorry if i offended or embarassed you or anyone else but i just felt that i needed to say certain things. ultimately, i really hope that i won't witness similar incidents unfolding before my very eyes again and that we all can truly say one day that we all belong to a harmonious and integrated scooter community.

Yup.. the excel is modeled on the T5.... I've also seen another TS model??

The T5 never came here, it was a 5 port 125cc that had a racing cylinder as stock! Pretty bloody quick by all accounts. The Excels and TS' are Indo copies using normal 3 port 150 engines... They kept the 80's styling though!

wildswans > no need to panic,i was like that once too but you'll get the hang of it...

about the px150....what they're discussing about is that there are 2 types....one was made before 1998 (no disc brake) and then there are those made after 1998...

with disc brake...correct me if i'm wrong guys...

disc brakes....have you seen bikes with a metallic disc on the front wheel????if you have, that's a disc brake

hi everyone

fluff puff...thank you!

mr vigano.

well while the crux of the problem lies, simply with.....'one's' sincerity,

almost everyone at aj scooters knows of the issue at hand here and

that includes the owner of jin cheng motors.

and as flufffpuff mentioned, your apology would be appreciated a lot

more of, if it was not structured to sound like a one-off incident.

yes, we to believe that mistakes do happen and even after accepting your apology,

we still wonder when another 'similar' incident like this would rear its ugly head again.

while i am sure most of the aj thread readers would not understand all the 'hoo haa'

thats going on here.

its an eye-opener for them to get a clearer picture of what lies ahead.

still i would like to apologise to them if we sounded very unforgiving.

cos of the many 'first' that has occured along the way.

we had to get it off our chest.

and i am sure fluff_puff is abit perplexed by your acceptance of her apology.

simple misunderstanding? or simply another 'structured' response?

quote..."ultimately, we really hope that we won't witness similar incidents unfolding before our very eyes again and that we all can truly say one day that we all belong to a harmonious and integrated scooter community" unquote.

now lets all get on with our lives.
