3.How often do you change a helmet? The time-line of changing a helmet.

When ever i feel like it. But shelf life is 3 years. To be strict is 1.5years.

1.5 - 3 years?

thought was 5?

remembered reading from Shoei site their helmets are warrantied for 5 years from sale or 7 years from manufacture and i immediately relate that to the helmet life, else they wouldn't dare warranty it right?

first question here:

http://www.shoei-helmets.com/FAQ.aspx

Shoei F.A.Q.

What does the warranty on my SHOEI helmet cover?

Your Shoei helmet is covered under warranty for five years from purchase date or seven years from the date of manufacture, whichever comes first. The warranty covers all manufacturing defects. Please note that damage caused by the consumer, (i.e. dropping the helmet), etc., is not covered under warranty.

3.How often do you change a helmet? The time-line of changing a helmet.

Depends on how often i wear. If for everyday use roughly every 1 year. If for touring use can last more than 4 years.

4. In what situation you will change your helmet?

After an accident or when the helmet have been used and abused.

5.How many years of riding experience do you have?

13 years

6.What are the problem faced when wearing a helmet?

Difficulty to talk, feels stuffy when at traffic lights.

7.What’s the worst weather condition when wearing a helmet?

Rain

8.Have you tried riding in a rain?

Yes, raining non stop for 10 hours.

9.Please state the problem you have with when riding in a rain.

If you are referring to the helmet, its fogging up of the visor. When lifting up the visor, the rain will hit your face so hard that it hurts. If you lift up the visor a few inches to de-fog it, the rain water will seep into the inner part of the visor making it even harder to see because the rain droplets is blocking your view.

10.Have you get into any form of road accident when riding or sitting on a bike?

Yes, stationary fall at petrol station and carpark.

11.If yes, what type of injuries?

A bruised ego.

12.What happens to your helmet during or after the accident? And is it PSB approve helmets you are wearing?

Nothing happen. no PSB sticker.

13.Will you wear a helmet that’s not PSB approved?

if yes. Why?

Yes, because a full face helmet(with ECE/DOT approve) without PSB is safer than a $40 open face helmet with PSB.

14. Do you feel that road pollution is a issue to you when riding?

Road pollution?? As in debris on the road? Yes, especially if sand or a plastic bag appears during a corner. Or you referring to air/noise/water pollution?

15. How do you feel towards rider having to put a scarf or mask on their face when riding?

Up to individual. No issue with me.

16. What's the one thing that you want to change for a helmet?

Transitions visor.

17. Any other comments?

Scrap the PSB sticker thingy. It only add cost to the helmet.
