How to noe engine oil pump & 4sparkplug is working fine or 1plug is dead.

to chk if plug dead, start ur bike..after 15mins...touch lightly on the headers....normally the cold one is the one with the dead plug....

 

 

PPSSSTTT....don't try this if been riding for more than an 1hr :faint:

for plugs,

- ur idling time will not be constant

- loss of power

- in cases of total failure one or more of your headers will be cold

 

For Gen2 fazers you'll get an error msg for complete failure. most plugs are good up to abt 10000km or 12mths whichever comes 1st. Though after abt 7000km they start to lose efficiency but should still fire.

 

for EO pump,

- Gen2 will get an E code error

- Gen2 eng will cut off

- one way is to open ur oil cap (the top one) and run ur eng, if oil spills out tehn ur pump is working.

 

Basically if u suspect ur pump, tow ur bike to the nearest trusted mech, do not waste time. No EO in casing is trouble.

engine oil, can see the mileage mah, or if u wanna engage gears like the bike machiam heavy den its time 2 change

 

plug if not wrong,

 

1. start the bike at a stationary position

2. when d headers r hot try n spray water. ill say 5mins warm up is sufficient.

3. water should evaporate immediately if touch all d headers, if not the wet header got foul plug

i did the test after suggested but not satisfy enuf...

how to noe d sprkplug cable is working fine...

put d bike on main stnd n start,engine side glass shows level maintain, level shuld drop rite.So far no Error Code.

 

Any gd mechanic to recommend guys.
