Many hate the idea of performing maintenance on their roller chains. They can be a mess and quite a chore to clean up. Many types of lubricants are hard to clean, but they are excellent attractors of dirt and grit which can help to bring your chain and sprockets to a premature death.

If you are using chain lube, clean-up of your chain and sprockets becomes one of the easiest tasks you will have. Once you can hear noise coming from the friction surfaces, wear is definitely taking place. We recommend you re-apply lubricant after every two hours of riding, or between every moto when racing.

Before you re-apply lubricant to your chain, you should first clean the chain. You will find that there is build-up of dirt and lubricant and cleaning should consist of a brief spray from a hose, pressure washer or chain cleaning machine. This brief spray cleaning of the chain will dislodge any particles of dirt or mud that may have found there way to the friction surfaces. After washing, dry the chain with a clean cloth or by blowing off with high pressure air.

Now that you have your chain washed, you can immediately lube your chain.

Oi labu & labi pada aku dua2 tak penting ni haji kedekut nak cakap sikit eh;

tu radiator guard leh bikin sendiri pe beli tu mesh potong ikut size pass tu cable tied je kalau nak lawar spray lah(mauh rajin je bai) den tu scott watever oil pun same, moto ade main stand pe spray jelah ape yg susah nak pasang tu scott entah brape banyak chain loop leh beli(mauh rajin je bai)

Kalau korang nak beli carry on cuma ni suggestion je.(sekali aku lesing korang nanti)

Aku tahu grill dapat cover tepi radiator den lawar je, uat ape besi tebal2 berat je motor abe it cover most of the air flow kasi panas je den tu radiator fan nak pusing brape kali...it is suppose to cover the radiator from small pieces of stone so that tak sangkut pat radiator tu yg buat panas...

 

tu scott bagus for touring purpose so that rantai tak kering...(its worth it jugak tapi how often touring den takyah lah)
