they just make sure the thing u buy is there. can use can liao. i bought a fast throttle from them. they fix it up tts all. my throttle so tight and producing damn lots of smoke. they say is normal. i go jb change another fast throttle, they ask me why my fast throttle cable so short like they snip some out. knn..

My colleagues, young guys and uncles alike, always told me that the most you wanna ask Ah Boy to fix your bike are like your throttle grips and brake/clutch lever. Anything more, just buy the parts and ask your own mech to fix.

hmmm seems like there are a lot of bad reviews for LAB mechanics... However, all these comments mentioned are actually quite common at bikeshops in ah gua lane jb.. So far I only had one bad encounter, a heated argument, with one of the mechanics there (the short chinese fella) because of some bike issues which he himself could not rectify so I told him to F#@k off and don't touch my bike. The Indian mechanic, upon seeing this, don't even dare to come near my bike. I would vouch for the tall, muscular chinese fella (Ah Jack his name). Very knowledgeable, resourceful and honest as well. He came to the rescue and even rectified the mistake made by his fellow colleague (bloody shorty). As such every time I wanna get something done I will straight go to Ah Jack. He is the only reliable mechanic at LAB workshop for him.

1 instance is i spot 1 of the mech knock using hammer without putting a cloth to prevent scratches at the surface... N to my horror the surface is really out of shape n scratches....

 

Too bad i was sitting outside talking to other bikers after i heard he knock n knock... Didnt got a chance to stop him....

 

thier mech f***** up one.... don't care about the bike...

 

if owner not there, dono what they do to the bike... and the problem still come back once in a while...
