original TZR one : S$38

 

anyone ever change the rectifier for our bike, anyone know how much

Ya, I think so,

 

my lights n horn and signla like very slow to respond, and I can

feel' they are weak. so I went to my JB mech,

the guy check he say, my rectifier not charging the batt, or rather it is charging but very weak charge,

 

but he dont have TZR rectifier stock, so have to change in sg.

 

here i was quoted around S$80 for a new one.

 

is that the going rate?

 

PS: I notice, very difficult to get TZR parts in JB, can anyone verify,

 

I intend to ride this bike for quite sometime)

just change a new one in singapore. you wouldnt noe what you will get if bikeshop in jb doesnt have your rectifier.

elephant---Yah...wat I heard is that JB doesn't really hav TZR parts,cox they dun hav TZR there...so dun bother goin over to change, unless is accessories or not that important parts.

 

Do ur repairs in S'pore loh...get it over and done with...dunnoe y ur TZR go so much probs...tink u very unlucky...get the wrong bike fr the wrong person. TZR maintenance shld be very cheap one...I suppose...

 

Mayb u can move ard a few shops to check out the price loh...so u noe wats the market price loh..dun get chop by jux 1 shop.

lol, actually my bike, not much problems

I have been riding it since 2002, no major problem - touch wood

 

but i guess things like fuel tap, rectifier are wear and tear parts, so they have to be changed sooner than later, after a bike has been used for certain number of years.

 

as long as my engine is fine, I m quite happy wit my teazer

 

 

but my problem is that,i have done all my routine servicing in JB, things like engine oil, change bulb, etc that I dont have any local bike shops to falll back on,

 

As now wen i go back to my JB mech, the fella say, TZR parts not available , I have to source for a reliable local mech,

 

Must take care of bike, then it will take care of u,

hello everyone. i want to ask huh, how come my tzr cannot start huh. it seem like the batt got not enough power man, does the batt will affect the bike to start.

Hmm...I tink theres some problem other than battery being flat. My TZR once had a flat battery too. Accidentally turn the key to the parking position, then the post light and the rear light turned on for the whole nite...But still able to start the bike the next morn.But may require some time...perhaps need to push start also.

 

So I tink the reason that ur bike cldnt start isn't really becox of the batt.U may hav to try something else...

don know leh. ok when i turn the key the bike got start, i mean got light all this lai. then funny part is when i press the horn, the horn not very loud.

Check whether your headlight is it working. Den your signal light everything. If no light or very fade maybe is the fuse blown. But not very sure also.

there is light all that but not very powerful. then don know is it the batt problem cause my bike cannot start. sian

change ur batt. if u got see light means not fuse blown liao. batt might not able to charge anymore. life span of battery is from 6 to 1 yr plus. my previous one is wet cell, lasted for 5mths. now using yuasa original drycell, whopping 100+. sianz... also, if you go bike shop they will test whether its your batt or rectifier. This is how to test.

 

Charge ur batt at bike shop.

Check whether can start the next day.

if not, rectifier blown or fuse faulty. Fuse blown, you wont see light at all.

If yes, that means batt is weak previously.

haha okok my bike can start le finally. but i think is the batt weak lai. sian. then don know want to change the whole batt or just bring it to the shop to recharge. if buy 1 batt how much is it.

whats ur budget? if not choosy, can try $500 for any design at first motor, ubi.

1 colour paint on your bike is around 300 to 400+ i think. spray wise quite good.
