Speedo meter

Hi, my speedo dunno why cannot move. just happen this morning. it was still ok yesterday. My inspection due in NOV. must the speedo meter be in working condition to pass the inspection. i ask 2 of my frens, they say no need. but i have read somewhere in this forum thats its a must. but i cant seem to find the thread now. can someone advise me?? Thanks.

How will the inspector know that your speedo is not working?

 

Answer: they will never know, unless they take your bike out for a ride.

 

So what are you worrying about?

Nope they don't check speedo.

well, it happen to me on my last year inspection. The inspector did take my bike out for a ride. But the speedo meter was working at that point of time. I mean like wanna due for inspection then suddenly this spoilt that spoilt. somwhow will be abit worried.

Inspector taking your bike out for a ride? That's something new. I have been riding for 13 years, and have gone for numerous inspections. Not once has any inspector tried to ride my bike. (I would have protested loudly if they even tried...)

This is the first time i heard about inspector take bike out for a ride.

Which centre? Insurance don't cover, can anyhow ride people's bike meh.

Really! Last year was oni my 2nd time for inspection so i tot its normal for them to ride out. I do it at AMK JIC. He did not ride out of the center, just within it. A few rounds. come back liao oso nv say anything. just tell me go to collect the cert.

 

But now i got another problem, I lost the inspection letter. Can I just go for the inspection without it? I mean, they have my record, rite?

You don't need any letter to go for inspection. Just go to the counter and tell the cashier you want to do inspection, then pay the fees.
