Bro. Seriously if i were you, i would just pay the $120 ah. It could be worse you know. Second time you could have gotten your licence revoked.

i thinkin of appealing coz i feel its injustified..the tp didnt even catch me while ridin noe.my bike was stationary by the roadside.i explain friend go get scotch tape he dun believe.smmore i nsf not enuff money ah...

Didn't caught you when riding without a P-plate, then how you get the bike there? with a lorry? Whose fault? TP everyday listen to people trying to bargain their way out, you can expect them to not give a hoot and go strictly by the book.

Now just a fine for a repeat P plate offense which could cause you your licence, and you still wanna argue about it. What more do you want? Bring this issue to court and the fact is you are not displaying the Plate, regardless it was loosen previously, or 'help' was on the way.

Just suck thumb and pay up, and hope there's no further actions taken against you. Else you can enrol at your nearest driving centre for lessons once more.

Agreed. Serving NS got nothing to do with the offense. Almost everyone gone thru NS. Last time worst less pay. The offense has been told and written in the law book. Do the crime, pay the $$$.

good decision, I sincerely hope they didn't pay heed that it's a second offense.

drak3st3r, u can appeal. U try appeal say u stop at bus stop BECAUSE P-plate drop, you trying to fix it back. Can't fix, ask your friend to go buy scotch tape. And while ur fren is away u put the p-plate in ur seat and wait for ur fren to arrive.

Like that lor...

Not ppl money of cos they ask u pay la.. It's your money so why not try appeal. Anyway it is highly unlikely that just because u appeal then they decide to fine u $120 PLUS revoke you one. Either they reduce, waive or remain the same.

Btw, u nv buy tzr den wad bike u bought?

my advice is tp try to appeal. this isnt a serious offence which will involve the courts and a judge. Only if u refuse to admit fault in a trial that you would be punished with a heavier sentence. For lighter sentences go ahead and appeal. TP will consider your appeal and if good reasons are given. You may be acquitted.

u got your letter already uh? they mention pay $120 fine only but actually you 2nd time offence?..

not to threaten you but my friend about the same scenario.. he also 2nd time no pplate.. firstly.. a letter arrived mention fine $120.. he was relieved that he only pay fine.. but then 2nd letter came mention he was revoked for a year.

just hope you dont receive any letter bout revoke.. anyway just try your best appeal. prepare to gather alot of evidence.. like your friend really going to buy tape..eg receipt. time and date of offence tally with the receipt..

I rest my case, young man. Let us know the outcome. Go appeal all you want, since your good friends wants you to. We're also talking about responsibility here, how long can you be coming up with reasons and excuses for the troubles you're in. But well, please follow your friends advices and push it away. Ultimately, using their words, it's not their licences or ours, it's yours.

I agree with shunoski.

You cannot come up with excuses forever if you decide to flaunt the law. If you want to disregard using the P-plate, then be prepared to face the music and not expect leeway to be given to you. There is absolutely no shame in putting P-Plate. All of us went through it before.

You all don't say like that la. I'm not his good fren, i dont even know him but i know NS pay really cham one.. Last time when i P-plate i also kena caught, but on the spot no excuse. Now TS got abit chance to appeal for lesser fine can try wad.. Whether or not a person chooses to repeat his mistakes, is up to him.

And no one is above the law, if he decide to do it third time i guess you guys know wad happens no need say. The system is already fixed, appealing is a person's right, BUT whether or not a person should be let off is the officer's job la huh.. Not anyone here. Dont you think so?
