oh ok, mine is the Ultra II Air Mesh Kevlar, waist cut better actually.. Less bulky.. By the way, Motoport is a good buy, should offer you for many many years of protection, so don't need worry about getting other jacket, pants or gloves.

By the way, if want to get the 303 Fabric Guard, can get it locally also.

Also, if u want to wash the jacket, use a front loading washing machine. It will destroy top loaders. If you washing one garment at a time, i advise putting in a large towel together, If not the washing machine might rub off some of the reflective stripes on the jacket. Dont wash with other clothes, cos the mesh kevlar will destroy your other clothing! The amor can be machine washed up to 10 times, so remove the armor to wash, less bulky also. I was my armor by hand, but once every year i put it in the jacket and machine wash. Best wash 1 time before u wear, makes the armor and kevlar softer...

thanks for the tips! was just thinking of getting the spray fabric thingy. its good to find it locally. i do want to get another jacket in the future though...just to have a different colour. but will probably stay with a similar cut.

the jacket fits quite nicely already so i won't be washing it until i've had a chance to wear it a little. the armour isn't getting in the way at the moment so not a problem.

now i just have to make sure i pass next thursday!

I posted about my Motoport jacket, pants and glove a couple weeks ago when they arrived. At that time I did not yet have my license and was unable to give a review of how they performed. Well, I got my license last Thursday, and I just got my bike today :-) I also got a chance to ride out in the HEAVY rain for about an hour. So here's how the gear fared.

Motoport Jacket and pants with rain liner - the jacket felt very comfortable with the rain liner inside. I did not feel too bulky at all. While this isn't the first time I'm putting on this jacket, it is the first time I am wearing it outside of my home, and riding a bike. The jacket zips onto the pants so that it will remain secure in the event of a fall. I also had the rain liner in the pants.

The first thing everybody was asking was IS IT HOT? I am very happy to report that this jacket/pants combo is anything but hot. I did not break a sweat at all while riding today. Of course, it was raining cats and dogs and it was actually pretty chilly on the bike. The bike I have is a TW200 so I can't really go fast. I was going around 60kmh mostly, sometimes at 70kmh depending on the road in question.

The second thing is about water resistance. I am happy to report that I remained 100% dry in every single place that I was covered by the jacket and pants. There wasn't a drop of water that went inside at all. I was really pleased with this because it was raining SO HEAVILY this evening. Also, when I first collected the bike, it rained for a short while. I was wearing my golf rain jacket then and it was COMPLETELY soaked through. So I am thrilled that this Motoport jacket and pants kept me so nice and dry...AND COOL too!

The gloves did not fare so well though. To be fair, it was not a waterproof glove at all. It is a pair of Kevlar Racing gloves from Motoport. It got wet fast and my fingers felt very cold. I also think the gloves aren't very comfortable at the moment. Maybe because they haven't been broken in yet? They did feel rather bulky while riding...I'll give it another week and then will report back.

All in all, I am very happy with the jacket and pants. They were EVERYTHING they were advertised to be. And they were very comfortable too! I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who wants superior protection from the hard knocks, slides and rain.

Take a look at my pictures at http://singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=247273.

Hi folks.

Just wanted to give you another review of the protection gear that I have after another week of wearing it everyday...hot weather, hazy weather, rain, night, morning, afternoon etc.

I gotta say that the jacket and pants are excellent. I have zero complaints about them. I can say that it is actually very comfortable wearing this everyday. I think the only discomfort is the way some people look at me when they see me riding pass. Hahaha! But heck them lah.

Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the gloves though. I think maybe the sizing of the fingers is a little small because I do get this pins and needless feeling after my rides wearing this pair of gloves. The good thing though is that its made of Kevlar and its long style which I prefer. I'll definitely be looking at different gloves starting now. So stay away from the gloves unless you have more standard hand proportions!

PS: my fingers are shorter and fatter than most...maybe that's why.
