My signal light gives me problem as well. Just found out that it is the speed of the blink increase compare to last time. Regardless of idling or revving.. the blink remains at a same constant blinking speed. My question is dat, izit possible for me to actually adjust the blinking speed rate? or izit that its time for me to change a new relay which i just got it changed about 2mths back? Need enlightment from u guys.. Thanks in advance..

On the question why the signal lights are blinking at a difference pace because the wattage of the replaced lamp or bulb is different from the stock one.

 

Most bikes have analogue condenser which works like a load sensor, where the load (wattage) is attained, it will cut off and once the load is off, power is resumed. In quick repetitive cycles of ON, and OFF, it gives you the blinking effect.

 

Now if the wattage of the bulb is different, then the load is also different which will effect the timing of the repetitive cycle of ON, and OFF. For example, if the replacement bulb has a lower wattage than stock bulb, then the blinking will be faster.

 

If you DIY LEDs for signal light, it will not flash because LEDs do not work like conventional bulb so the condenser can't sense its load, and you will not get the blinking effect.

 

There are a few ways to get around this problem, the easiest is to get an electronic flasher

 

 

Pls get a electronic Flasher/Condenser unit ..................

Yes, mate - they cost s$12 each - DIY as in Plug & Play but some riders can even locate where is their Flasher unit...

i modified my signal to now have hazard light but an additional switch. but my hazard light is now faster than normal signal.

 

so if i change to electronic one, can tt be solve. and does it need any grounding or change mosfet etc?

Our electronic Flasher does not need grounding. When you modified yr signal to hazard light function, does it include another relay or flasher ??

I dun think a ON/OFF switch can give u Hazard Lighting effect....

in fact, i got the hazard light effect. but the thing is it is blinking faster than normal signal.

No need - the entire flasher relay is swapped, and the blinking rate should be constant regardless of bulb / wattage / hazard lights ...

yup. looking for low cost solution. cos i dun need the adjustable flashing rate at the moment.

 

managed to solve my problem. got a flasher relay from a shop when i'm there doing other stuff.

 

then tada. problem solve.

Ok guys. My bike signal problem starts to come back. This time upon signalling left. The indicator located on my dash appears to be kinda weak. This time it is not flashing, the indicator stop there and my left signal are not able to function properly. Signalling right is ok but there is no indicator light.. So does it really appear that i would have to get my relay changed?
