Is there any recommended shop for a paint job? Price around?

you can look around the advertisers section. i think HLC has the lowest price but not sure about quality since i have never done any paint job on my bike before.

I am having problem with my spec 1. First gear is making rattling noise but only when starting to move off or just rolling at 5km to 10km or till rpm 3 the noise goes away at higher revs, speed or change up. The engine is very strong and it definatly not the issue. It sounds like the noise you hear from a dry bareing (klak-klak-klak)when it's being spun, and neither noise is present when running in stationary in gear or not or in nutral and reving. Any help would be frekin awsum

Note: have checked the chain, chain tension, and both sprockets all seem good chain is new, sprockets good as no ware, or hook not sharp, also no play in rims either!..***

Hi PrinceLuh,

my guess is:

1) its time to change your chain & sprocket, or

2) its your wheel bearing that needs changing

but since you've already ruled that out,

based on your symptoms -> it reckon its your timing chain, maybe? cos that was what happened to my previous varadero 125.

btw, since when did these problems start? or did you just bought the bike?

Hi guys, need ur help on something.

My Spec 3 is creating some problems and im not sure y.

Usually after warming up my bike, i will ride off like normal.

However the first few minutes of riding is creating problems.

Firstly, my speedometer will turn to 0 while still moving.

My Vtec will not open while the speedometer is 0.

However after sometime, the speedometer will switch back to the current speed

and everthing else will work fine then.

I am not sure what is the cause.

Maybe sumone here will be able to tell me.

Thanks in advance bros.

probably the wire for the meter is loose.

if you are hands-on enough you can just open up the headlight.

check the huge connector that is from the meter into the headlight for any loose wiring or loose connector.

if there is no problem then you can be even more adventurous.

open up the meter back cover. (to do this you have to remove the headlight and the headlight bracket first)

once u open up u can take a look see if there is any loose/dangling wire on the speedometer side.

i'm not sure where is the speed sensor, if anyone know where it is can probably give some advice.

Hey guys!

I'm looking to get a S4 and would like to seek some advice please.

What's the rough prices and age range that we're looking at for Spec2, Spec3 & Revo? What about the pros/cons?

Not really looking for anything fancy as this will be a utility bike for daily transportation use.

Thanks! :)

Meanings up shift without clutch after first gear. Can be done. Much nicer shifts also.

U try and see whether its fun when u get it right lo.. Hehe. It will jerk if u get the timing wrong.

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

First gear definitely u need clutch. Only can do first to second gear upwards. Under mid-high acceleration, when you're about to change gear, preload the shift lever(put your toe under the lever and push slightly up), then when you normally release the throttle all the way, don't release it all, just back it off slightly and up shift completely. You'll notice that the gap between gear reduces and gear changes are much smoother. Have a go at it. Hehe.

U mean it is not an additional technology to install on the bike? Just an method to sort of trick the bike to do automatic gear changing?
