Autosol plus steel wool. Polish the whole circumference then you'll never get that pitting again.

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?

if that is too hard labour, send it for sandblasting follow by polish...then you dont have to worry about oxidation again

nope. no scratches. Maybe micro scratches but I can't see any on mine. Better than having ugly pitting on the forks ya. Polishing is another way to get rid of it but of course you got to pay significantly more.
