If the paint chip is pretty big (Mine was bigger than 50cent coin), respray it, because I don't think its so easy to touch up and still get the same colour tone.

The dented tank, you bring to Ah Kun or Ah Huat, they will be about to "un-dent" it for you I think.

oooh.. thx duckit

Was actually thinking of making it a feminine bike (black & pink) but this idea was often met with loud protests from all my friends

A fren suggested black with gold rims. And my group of buddies suggested Red and white. Cos all their cars and bikes are red and white. Think most likely getting Black based with red and white stickers.. at least there's red and white..

:cheeky:

Mmmm.. or should I go with black and gold? :giddy:

Or black and pink?

Or ... or....

Black and Red is actually common. If you'd really want to make your bike more feminine, you should go for the Black and Pink. Since Black can almost match with any colour (Except Blue, which I feel just don't go well with Black).

I'd actually support the Black and Pink.

i jus got the big dent on my fuel tank (see attached pic) repaired and sprayed for $150... tank was stripped off my bike at my preferred motordiam and was sent to Yeow Motors... very satisfied with the results as my tank looks brand new and nice worksmanship... but dunno if the price is worth it..

Cost of entire 2B sportsbike like mine with an Oxydo design is about $500. If its just plain, I'll reckon maybe $300+ to $400? No gurantees. Its best that you go down to ask them to see the bike itself, then he'll be able to quote. However, like what Fatgrunt said, it won't be cheap, so be prepared to part with $500.

The prices were referring to Yeow Motor. However, if you do plan to go down and do it. Please come back and tell us the pricing. I might be incorrect, but I'd guess it would be close.

Impossible. Definately more than $300! That I can gurantee with chop!

Without confirmation and gurantee (Please ask him first). I'd say the price will hit about $500 for the first one and $450 for the 2nd one.

In case you plan to respray the rims to the colours indicated in the picture. It'll be about $100. The prices above do not include changing the colours of the rims.

Also, in case you plan to respray the Chassis of the bike, to make it nice and silver like in the picture, it'll cost about $60 to $100 as well. He doesn't do chroming. So its only nice silver, but not that shiny. That wasn't included in the price above as well.

In case, at the same time you'd want to ask him to respray your Exhaust pipe header to make it black and non rust again, its about another $30 to $50. Again, its not included in the price above.

For all the information given, its better that you double confirm it with Ah Huat. You can call and ask, but he won't be able to give you a proper quoting, he'll ask you to go down for viewing. Can talk to him. He's a nice person, and you can browse his albums of photos. At the same time, print those 2 pictures out and bring it to him. He prefers when someone brings him pictures, because its easier. So he can give you exactly what you want.

Thanks for the reply, Ah huat charges more for spray painting. I have enquire at HKL before to repray my GSXR750 to telefonica paint work, more complex design, and its $350 only not inclusive of frame and rims.

HKL also quote me $200, red only not inclusive of rims and frame, to respray my bandit400 and they sends to Ah Kun at kallang for the work.

just went down to Yeow Motor to get quote on respraying my bike.. they are indeed friendly and tries to help us save $..the guy who talked to me was ah hai.. my fairing has lots of crack and i was even prepared to get new fairings b4 respray... but he told me that he can mend the cracks which i tot was beyond possible with fibre glass... now i get to save on a new set of fairings if i respray there.. he quoted me $280 for single color spray and mending of my fairings. $120 for both rims.. any1 can tell me whether its a gd deal??

Posted

That's his average price quotation. If I'd add on, the $280 includes the Workmanship? Or its just the single colour? I remember the workmanship for mine was $60. The pricing is okay to me.

Personally, I can't wait for my Class 2 bike in future. I feel those Class 2 bikes like Hayabusa has already a very nice original paintwork. Don't need any paint job. :cheeky:
