anyone..? upss...

Personal opinion is that at this day and age i would pick honda bikes. Afterall honda are reowned for their reliability.

2A stage no matter how fast or how big the difference in terms of acceleration or top speed its not gonna be a big impact.. how fast can a 400cc 10 to 20year old engine go? maybe 210 to 240km/h range.

Spare part wise its still avaliable but production start to slow down.. so in the event of major components required i guess u still have to wait. Honda seems ot be the easier one to get spare parts in my opinion with FJT around the corner. Ninja parts always hear that have to wait damn long.. also whether u can find a zx4 or not is another issue.

Just get a machine that best suits u in terms of financial budget and price. For me its the fireblade. getting the Gixxer4 is a good choice too!

The RR on my Fireblade represents "Race Replica"

Used to own both GSX400 and the ZX-4. ZX-4 come up tops in terms of everything, Pick-up, handling, u name it. But given the age I would suggest the cbr400. Its cams are gear driven which means more reliability given the age of these bikes. It also has better fuel consumption compared to he suzi and kawa. Juz get prepared to be overtaken by the screaming Kawa and howling suzi on the straights.

I rode both the gsx and zx4 each for some time in the past..i found the riding posture on the gsx to be lower compared to the zx4..whether this is good or bad depends on you..

gsx even at stock, top speed anytime over 200..meter if not wrong till 240..but maybe i tried on stock bike, so climbing from 180 onwards is slow liao..

my zx4 meter till 190 nia..once you reach will kena power cut..so, i found a way to bypass this prob without any modifications at all....before this, my top gear can only go till 12k rpm kena the 190 speed cut liao..after i "fixed" the problem, my top gear can go till 16k rpm..lolz..

zx4 is a big/heavy bike, but i got no complaints..definitely makes up for its size in sheer brute power..haha..mine only had an operated stock pipe..everything else is factory..had so much fun playing with other riders otr..cbr's (fireblades and hurricanes), vfr's (not rvf ah), gsx's, rs250's, pgm's, cb1300's, harley's, vimax's..great fun and lotsa stories/memories! .. my pipe gave a bassy idling, but once you go to high revs, it would absolutely scream just like a F1 car..seriously..can never forget that sound!

the gsx i rode was my fren's..he didnt need it for some time so i took and rode first..didnt do anything too crazy with it as it wasnt mine, so cant give alot of comments..but due to the riding posture, i must say that taking corners with the gsx is really quite fun..

back to my kawa..unfortunately, after a trip up to Malacca with two friends on NSHW, her conrods gave way..:(..according to the bike shop, it would have cost me $2+K to overhaul, PROVIDED i could find the parts in the first place..i didnt do it as a)i was a student back then, no $ and b)the bike was purchased for ard $4k, so spending $2+K to fix didnt seem logical..

So, that was the end of my beloved ZX4's legacy..the bike that filled so many of my sleepless nights when i would go out riding alone..the bike that went through raging storms and scorching sun with me..the bike that was there for me, whenever, whatever, wherever..

I dont even want to think of the day i "lost" her at the scrapyard..the only painful memory that i have of her through our time together..haiz..

anyway, it's all in the past, and i'm glad i got to share part of my life with her..

I will always remember you! R.I.P FM****M!

Its e Honda for me... only if its e L-Model fireblade... easy to get spare parts and resale value compared to the Kawa and Suzu... and as fer the rest all about the same and importantly... speed and winning impromptu races along the expressways...- Its the rider not the bike!
