Wd40 is the last thing to use to lube the chain. To clean it ok, to lube: NO.

May i introduce to you the world's most advanced lubricant(nano technology and pure oil based).

Up to 20 times more effective than WD40

Great for protecting and lubricating chain and other exposed parts

Very effective in penetrating and retarding rusty and oxidized surfaces in mechanisms that work in severe conditions of moisture and temperature.

MSP Penetrating Lubricant (MSP PL)

(most technologically advanced)

Please click and see post #5

some petrol station do sell tin cans for u to contain the petrol or disel..

cost abt $3+.

best is that u can clean the inside area of the ring so tat it is free from any particles hidden inside..

when it is completely clean, spray a fresh coat of lub and allow it to settle.

for more info u can refer to the articles in the forum...there is a articles on how to lub a chain well..

with diagram to guide u too

read the article... read this thread.. then i tried to lube my chain (x-ring).. but dunno if i am doing it right..

i use a car jack to jack the bike.. using Castrol ChainWax.. so its white in colour.. anyway.. i just spray the top and bottom of the chain.. as long a bit white can liao is it?

can i know the reason of pushing yr back wheel forward direction when lube at rear sprocket and back when lubing the front sprocket?

Hi

I can't seemed to find the article, can someone help point me to the correct direction/

Tks

oh...its cost too much ..and wrong application..

contact cleaner are solvents ...formulated to clean minute dirt on the electrical contact..

so you see...chains are really very dirty...one of the dirtiest task you will come across..

best if you have a heavy duty cleaner that do not contain solvents ...best but not available..

one of the easiset method is to use light eo or2t as a cleaner cum lube

with an oiler ...this device will clean the chain while you ride and at the same time lube the chains..

Contact cleaner is just too light duty to remove d dirt and grime on a chain. Just search ard. There are more economical ways to clean ur chain e.g. Diesel or kerosene.. Or use proper chain cleaning solvents that are not harmful to the rings in the chain.

Kerosene is recommended in the manual for chain cleaning:thumb:

Just wondering what chain lubes you guys are using? Had tried maxima synthetic lubes, very disappointed by the fling off even thought I warmed the chain before lubing it..

Was previously using motul road c2, sticky type of lubes, fling off is almost zero, but attract dirt and sand easier..

So what you guys recommend? Any advice?
