Well, take it as heads up for your planning.

Next track session for newbie sportsbike and motards up to 400cc will be on Saturday, 10 Oct 09.

Same time, same place, same safety gear requirements.

Date: Saturday 10 Oct 2009

Time: 8 AM to 10 AM.

Cost: $30 for track fees payable at the track itself.

Limited to 10 riders only... that's all I can handle.

Safety Gear: Leather suits is optional. Minimum you must have is a full face helmet, gloves, boots or riding shoes that cover your ankles, jeans with knee guards preferred and jackets with armour preferred...its your skin anyway.

Coaching is free.

What will be taught:

1. Suspension and tyres set up for track riding.

2. Correct posture for corners.

3. Braking, dowshifting and acceleration points.

4. How to read corners and the correct gearing and linings through them.

5. Track rules and discipline.

We will walk the track to understand and appreciate the linings through the corners. On track guidance will be given as you ride if you need it. The aim of this session is to make you a safer track rider and how to take corners in the correct way. You will learn the techniques of track riding and how to ride fast... but how fast you go is up to your own ability to learn fast.

This is not a race session nor a session to teach you how to race. Its for you to learn about your own riding ability and the handling of your machine.

But most of all.. its for have an enjoyable time trying out track riding without all the high speed demons scaring you.

Hi Raptor,I wanna put my son in for track gearing familiarity. He is only 15 and a pocketbike rider.I'm planning to race him on big bike later. Can he join in?

I am sorry but this is not a pocketbike session and its dangerous for the 2 kinds of bikes to mix on the track.

Hope you understand. Thanks.

Correct me if Im wrong Danish02. I think what you meant was your son is currently riding pocketbike but will be riding big bike on that day. I have a Yamaha X1R and my sons (12 & 14 yrs) has been riding pocketbike too at Tuas. Is it ok if we join your session ? :)

If they are riding a normal bike like the Yamaha X1R or Spark or Y125Z, it should be OK to join.

Its just too dangerous when you got pocketbikes mixed up with normal bikes on the track at the same time.... their linings through the corners may be different.

You're absolutely correct. No way PB can be on same track with bigger bikes. So tomorrow on ?

Its on for me as far as I am concerned.

I need to practise on my Y125Z and Husqvarna 510 for Sunday's races...after the session, but if nobody shows up... I just start practising earlier.

So far on the list... I see 3 people only.

I never rode an auto scoot before so I don't know how the gearing feels like.. but if you want to ride just for learning the lines through the corners.. join us then.
