The Bandit has done very well on my North Thai trip. Performed well on the mountain roads. :)

myself n 3 friends ride 1250fa for about 4 mths,we all noticed that there's a gap at the right side fairing just below the right side mirror.there's something wrong with the clip,it doesnt stick.My friend meet the dealer boss about tis,he acknowledge n will info suzuki japan.does any owner has tis problem?For info only.

Wow! That was super observant! Yes, I looked, then poked around and found it. A 2 - 4 mm gap on the right that keeps clicking if you try to push the fairing in - must be a loose/ misaligned clip.

 

Pls let us know if the dealer is gng to do anything about it - btw, which dealer?

Also, does it affect ride in any way? Rattling, wind noise etc.? I will try to watch for symptoms but so far no issues!

It's seems to be a common problem for most of e GSX1250FA . I noticed it when I got my bike back in aug 2011 . Went to e main agent e next day n was infd that they will do "something" abt it after checking wif Suzuki Jpn . . . but till today n after numerous calls , they still "checking" !! I have given up n learn to live wif it . It does not affect my daily usage .

 

Ps : Are u guys from CDC ??

Just thought I'd try my luck here. Anyone knows anyone or shop selling a Bandit 1200 2nd gen air cooled model? I'm currently on a 2005 air cooled 650 and looking to upgrade but love the air cooled too much to progress on to a liquid cooled. A big thanks to all.

I don't think bike shops still bringing in e 1200s . Mostly are e 1250S n 1250FA models . If u looking for 2nd hand ones than it gonna be even harder .

 

Why not give e new model a try ? I got a Fren riding a "souped up" GSX1250FA . U can view it if u are keen .

Has anyone added bar-raisers (or changed the handlebars to taller bars) for the ABS-equipped GSX1250FA? Where did you get it done?

 

I want to raise the bars but am worried that the length of brake / clutch lines may not be enough.

Hi ,

 

A Fren added a Rox Riser on his 1250FA but he removed it after 1 wk . He says its doesn't suit him . He did changed some cables but I'm not sure which one . He used e stock handle bar with e Rox riser .

You may wana check out Teo Spray around Defu Lane. Last heard the shop brought in some Bandits - naked, half and full fairing.
