Sporty looking bike with no power is like a nice looking girl with good body but after you strip her then you realize she is an Ah Gua....

YZF-15,CBR125/150,and now this bike....Not about top speed but the acceleration is just plain too slow to call it sport bike...

0-100kph in 7 sec maybe....for a 2B

what you mean is acceleration of 0-100km/h in 7 sec is just plain too slow for a 2b sportsbike? o_O

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

So in your context what is fast?

I mean in my context what's consider fast is at least tore apart 80% of the vehicles on the road during a traffic light sprint.....

A century sprint of 7 sec should be just right...

This bike just dont have what it takes to label itself GSXR....

Just looked at the header...GSX-R125...Well at least a illusion....For people that got this bike

IMO, i think 0-100 in 7 sec is fast enough for a 2b.. i dun even know how fast my 400cc bike can go! :D

but if you are talking about pulling away 80% of the vehicles, 7 sec not enough?

i am not asking this in a sarcastic kind of way, its a genuine question.

cars i can think that are able to do it faster are AT LEAST a wrx, evo, civic, golf gti, etc. what i am trying to say here is, many of the cars we encounter on sg roads are japanese sedans, mpv, goods vehicle, taxis.. going by their paper specs on century sprint, i guess 0-100km/h in 7 sec would be sufficient to beat more than 80% them.

just my 2 cents worth.

and count in all the evo/sti/lambo drivers who dun even bother to play century sprint. so i think 7 sec is 99% chance of being ahead lol.

anyway. when i ride i always zua. first in front of everyone yet i only 2b and my fc is 30km/l with my habit.

when i drive, i dun dare zua all the time, cos even though feeling is shiok, fc becomes 8km/l and my wallet really feels the pinch.

IMO 7 0-100 of 7 sec is what i called at least a sport and is enough to tore apart 80%...But how many 2b bikes have this kinda of timing???...Let's leave the 2 strokers aside first....????

That y, most interpreted as sport bike which is misleading.

400cc if you are brutal enough....5-6 sec should be achievable with some practices.

What i am trying to put across is if you label as sport as least there must be some substance to support...Look is one thing...But I would say performance would be a better picture..

I guess majority would do the same...As bike are very small is best to get ahead of the pack. i always full throttle my little scooter to head the pack so everyone can see me.

what to do.. 2-stroke bikes not given the go ahead anymore.. and the companies keep producing 125 or 150cc only.. at least 200cc would be slightly better..

dunno where to practise.. haha..

i normally get ahead as well.. its actually not very nice to lane split to the front already, least riders can do is to accelerate off faster than the cars..

there is a reason for 150 or 125cc....

Cos 200cc piston cannot rev as high as 125cc or 150cc cos of the size..

Look at 600cc and 1000cc sportbike....usually 600cc got higher rev ceiling.because of the lighter piston....

So as budget bike is best to stay smaller and lighter..

oh icic.. thanks for that information.. didnt know that.. too bad class 2b cap is 200cc if its 250cc i would have bought a japanese maxi scoot as my 1st bike.. then again, many will buy rs250 and pgm iv and it would be dangerous for them..
