1. If it rains the outing might be cancelled ? Y not postpone it to the week after?

So whoever hav been preparing for this outing wont feel disappointed and can look forward for another one.

We are Sporean, of course we are aware and know our roads and laws well, the most important thing beside our own safety and life, are demerit points and 'gantung' ( licence suspended). so dont make too many rules and regulations, other than tht dun worry so much la.

answers to your questions...

1 - if it really rains, i'll change the waiting point to KKFC, and contact you guys by mobile... and actually this rainy season, i should be meeting all at KKFC so as to prevent ourselves wet from the rain... we'll see how about it! (most probably gathering at KKFC one... will contact you guys by mobile)

 

2 - as said, i have some personal commmitments so have to relax out a bit... feeling very stressed lately... nevertheless, i'm still available for future AMKS4 Outings... regarding those @@* negative comments? Y bother too? i have nothing to bother about. if you guys out there are really supportive towards me, i believe my AMK S4 riders group will be a strong group sometime down the road... (p.s. - tat includes you, prince21? keke)

4 - yes you are right, i had the same thinking as you. a chinese saying goes like this; (one type of rice feeds a hundreds kinds of ppl) meaning you'll see lots of other ppl in life. for me, i dun worry much. jus ride slow and safe and we will all be fine...

in the past when i asked about how many ppl are keen to have the S4 monthly outing, i see so many names... but now tat i have started the organising, the list looks so boring...

 

i am not hiding behind my computer and talk. i organise outings every now and then... right here in this CB400 forum, i'm trying my best to do as much as i can to help out the forum committe so as to make it a more happening forum... riders of CB400 forum are not united at all... when i organise gatherings, how many care to join? and when i try to promote the s4 gatherings in other threads, ppl can go complain about me? things are not fair here. i come in to the forum friendly to everyone... yes, in the past there are misunderstandings... but it has all been past already. why wana hold on to grudges and make urself unhappy in life?

 

being an organiser is not as easy as said. really... for this, i really salute luvpuzzle!

 

to me, as a organiser, i have to source out places that are fresh for riders, rather to gather and go places tat we always go and end up a boring gathering. planning out the convoy route is not easy either. for the past outings (including my AMKS4 outings), i even took the time and $ to mass-sms CB400 riders who are in my mobile... and on the very day of the gathering, its jus the same as my AMKS4 outings. i have to take care of you guys on the road during all convoys. those who went for my AMKS4 outings will know what i mean. responsibility is a must and also the unity of CB400 riders in this forum.

you can be a newbie, a crazy frog (like me), a speedster or anyhow the style you want. but since you guys are already in the forum, why not be a part of the CB400 group of SBF and join the S4 monthly gathering? yes there may be individual groups in the forum, but aint a S4 monthy gathering make the CB400 group outstanding in SBF when all of us can gather as one?

 

lastly, i wont mind continuing to organise future S4 monthly gatherings...

once per month, 6 hours of a day. how much time can it consume in my schedule?

 

the only thing i request from you all riders is to be united... tat would be all that i could ask for...

Would you consider having the outings once every two or three mths instead? As they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

 

Some might already put the past behind. Some might still be a little unhappy but that part i dun really know.. Sometimes its not that people are unhappy that they did not come. There are 1001 other reasons why they did not turn up. YOu got to give them the benefit of the doubt. Being a new organiser ain't easy I agree. Whats more with the poor turnout everytime will demoralise the organiser even more.

 

A great organiser I worked before in an events company once said, its not the money, its not the quantity of the turnout. IT IS THE SMILES ON THE PEOPLE'S FACES WHO TURNED UP that matters. If you feel that one of the reasons that people dun turn up is becose of the program, then do something about it. You can constantly change, adapt and try and see what the majority wants and be more flexible. And best of all is you must accept feebacks and critiscm with an open mind.

 

Yes we do have a misunderstanding in the past me and you. But that's all over with a handshake over at clarke quay. All the times ESRs have our own program which clashes with the main outings'. I would oso like to join S4M in their outings and makan sessions but I am already filled to the brim with one group. And I must admit that I am not that good in handling mutliple appointments thats why I did not join them of late. Its not that I have a misunderstanding or watsoever. THe point is, people dun join doesn't mean they dun like. Perhaps they are already occupied with something else which holds more meaning in their heart.

 

That is why I suggest the main outing to be a quarterly kind of thing. Let the date be out first. Slowly plan the program. Let the idea sink into the S4 members here steadily and by having an enormous time to wait for the main outing, they can make ready their appointments to blend together with the main outing.

 

Well, that's all I can say for now. And one more impt thing as an organiser, he doesn't count the $$ he spent on the outings whether its sms or petrol and he doesn't even state them down in times of withdrawal. So lean your head back, take a deep breathe and reflect on this. Everyone needs a wake up call once in a while sometimes even me. Noone's perfect. But one can strive not to be a loser either. So the above is just a suggestion and simple words of advice. Its up to you to think abt it..
