i'm planning with a couple of our friends to do a daily SMS update, where everyone who are interested will be updated with latest info on the trip.

 

due to unknown reasons, we are unable to locate his netbook or his handycam.

 

netbook: neither is the laptop in his office or home. His brothers will be @ his office tomorrow to find.

 

handycam: according to his gf, a friend of his borrowed and damaged it not too long ago.

 

if any friends out there can help out on this 2 item, the equipment list will be completed. netbook for media storage and update via internet.

 

every effort will help a long way to finish the trip on behalf of Lawrence.

i hereby thank everyone for all the help.

a little update. due to legal issues...i wont be able to ride his bike up for this trip. So all plans proceed as usual i will be riding my XR4, setting off on the night of 18/12/09 @ abt 10pm? before that a few of us will be having dinner somewhere 1st. those interested can pop by as well...meanwhile do feel free to contact me @ 83224777 anytime.

 

more update on moveoff will be up soon. thank you

i have a cam to lend you for this trip. It runs on 'AA' size battery that can be mounted on bike, waterproof. It can only go on for 5hours with high quality setting and more than 10hours with medium quality setting but you need to keep changing the batteries. normal energizer battery last about 1-2hours while the blue lithium ones last up to 6hours...

WJ - wish i'd heard about the trip sooner... serve me right for not checking the forum for ages. Four of us are heading off along the same route (more or less) leaving here 8th Jan. Day 1

 

Weather wasnt on my side but managed to reach Thai in 11 hours, met 2 fellow riders and their partners at the train station. Will be taking tomorrow afternoon train.
