did anyone notice that recent months lots of deep n long scratch marks appeared on the PIE? there were a few times my types rode into them n almost skidded  now i more or less memorised the locations of those scratches n avoid them when riding along those roads.

next time i sure want to drive a dirty rusty beat up old truck.. then paint on the tail-board.. I have claimed insurance on 99 tail-gaters. Are you the 100th? :cheeky:

What do you mean by scratch marks...do you mean there are depressions on the road (like shallow drains or something)?

imo, they are minor depressions that stretches in a consistent line. so if the bike wheels are small, can easily get caught in these depression line and may cause skidding. not long ago there was a bike accident along aye near those depression lines but duno is it caused by that.

Recently I noticed, near BKE -> KJE also have similar markings on the road, near the shoulder

And I can quite confirm they weren't there until recently..

i think...

accidents lo... usually this is how it forms... when vehicles turn and skid and drag...

for those little pot holes, it usually caused by lightnings...

isit? didnt know lightning caused potholes..:p

..i also noticed the long long grooves running almost parallel to the dotted white lines, cuz i like to ride slightly to the right of the lane..

then i wondered if other bikers were also riding there which caused those grooves

im quite sure bke-kje also have, on first lane just upon entering kje. not scratch marks, more of ex-extreme right lane marking, now widen le den the marking removed shows the big parallel scar.

hmm.. imagine gozilla with iron claws scratched along the roads.. something like that lor.. :D

 u good imagination arh. but ya, can imagine.

ya, i also think it's caused by accidents. like trailer flipped on its side/ car turn turtle etc... :sian:

pot holes i tot coz "steal job cut materials"? :cheeky:

pie(jurong to eunos direction), there's a deep scar on lane 3 just before entering bke, sometimes wheel just nice go in line with it can feel the bike losing grip/ NOT going in the direction of the handlebar.

the scar is spread along from one end of lane 3 to the other, so im guessing some idiot wanted to cut into bke desperately and something stupidly horrifying happened.

i think all those scratch marks are done by msian bike.. their tube tires burst But will continue to ride..

if u notices those scratch marks will lead to the shoulder and back to the expressway.. most i see is from PIE tpy to BKE there.

They don't.

The truth is that, meteorites are the main cause of potholes on Singapore roads.

YES! The truth is out.

Meteorites! Thrown at us by the bugs from Klendathu..... :(

BTW, the effect where your tyres/wheels get into the groove and cause the bike to veer off course, it's called tramlining.... aka, tram (or buses on railway tracks like the ones in San Franscisco)
