Got a prob here and needa help urgently. Lao Jiaos please help. Million thanks in advance.

 

I just recently bought a Yamaha R1 08 model. But there have been a very significant problem about the bike but I don't know where the problem lies. Whenever i clutch in, the RPM of the bike goes back down to zero and it never regain its RPM again when I let go of my clutch, which in other words, my bike stalled.

 

My bike stalls when:

- I clutched in for too long (about 2 -3 seconds?) to lower down my gear on the move. (Because the RPM is at zero and doesn't regains)

- I clutched in because I'm coming to a stop.

 

But however, it doesn't stalls when i clutch in to shift my gear to a higher one. (Primarily due to the fact that it still has a high RPM?)

 

I don't think this is a norm although I don't have lots of experience in big bikes. Can somebody please advice?

-yes... some of us riding the 07' 08' models do encounter this when coming to stop... i encountered it too... Go to yr mechanic and do a "Throttle Body" wash which may cost around $80/- and it should do the trick... =)

-tested and proven on Mine,Desmond and Rex's 08' model ..... =))

Oh.. nothing to do with the clutch? i initially still thought it was the clutch problem... thanks anyway! cheers!! =)

HAha. yea. agree. before i had problems too. after wash i can't say 100% ok la. cos it did happen 1 time to me again.. but seems good all the way till now

Yrs got PCIII ??? Mine and DESmond dun have leh... For fufu and Apit they both nv encounter this prob ... Maybe must install PCIII aft changing exhaust system?? I dunnno.... But wash already smooth already.. Abt every 20k mileage wash once
