wrap the pipe with exhaust insulation wrap.

 

I thought of that. Is it effective or like change a bit only?

 

Change de mid pipe lo

If change Liao still hot, put heat wrap

If still hot , need change bike already haha

 

Not sure what you mean cause my friends who ride the R1 uses stock pipe including the mid pipe.

However all of my friends (current/ex R1 riders) have complained about the heat problem. It seems that they say the heat is very unbearable as the mid pipe is below the seat. Their balls are always sweaty after the ride.

 

Is there any ways that can lessen the heat problem? I would like to own this piece of beast despite common problems (like magnetic coil, throttle body) that have not deter me from buying.

Standard procedures would be gutting out the cat (illegal mod, mind you), use Waterwetter or Engine Ice coolant and insulate wrap the exhaust. Temperature will be somewhat less hot. Otherwise, part and parcel of riding the R1. The heat. If cannot stand the heat, get a Kawa or Honda... :lol:

First learn stand, then learn fly. Nature's rules biker-sans. Not mine...

Ayia, the heat is hot, but after awhile, u sure get used to it :) haha or maybe my balls made of some non heat material hahaha

Hmm okay thanks guys for the reply. Did some basic research online in other R1 forum. Most recommended exhaust wrap. Downside is tt wont look tt nice anymore lah.

curious question. 09-12 r1 is twin underseat exhausts and many complain very hot. isit possible to do it to side exhaust on the right side??

 

 

another random question, how come so few 09-12 crossplane r1's in the east area!!! seldom see them! i wanna hear that crossplane!!

the low mount graves full system i see on youtube dosent look attractive. i think if not shorty will be nicer.
