I bought my second hand 06 R1 from I-Motoring. Within the first month i had to push to shop twice for servicing.... Juz wondering, anyone out there has a problem wif starting your R1? Mine seems to have a problem starting. The battery will drain, but the bike wont start. it wont even crank. and it happens periodically.

Now without my bike i have to squeeze the bus... sigh...

Btw, is $60 considered expensive for making a spare keys?

Long time never clock post... Just dropping by to say hello every1...

Hullo! So quiet here...

Anybody encountered flat battery after many days not riding?

2-way alarm installed, but not armed...

I have yet to encounter it, just checking with people here who have used alarms for quite some time. :cheeky:

Hi guys just a doubt is there such thing as a fast throttle for r1 12 model. Or is it simply just changing the stock handle grip to a better one? is there a difference?

There is fast throttle for just about very bike. Changing throttle grips is just the feeling bro, some like it thick, some like it thin. Changing the throttle tube to a bigger diameter would allow you to achieve a higher percentage of throttling with lesser twisting action of the wrist. That's why it's called a fast throttle. :)

It may not just be the alarm, the IU unit may also be the culprit as to the draining of the battery.

U have accosato, activ, motionpro, etc...I'm using motionpro, it's not bad....but r1 09-12 is already a very responsive and torque-y bike, if u insert a fast throttle, u may end up not enjoying your ride, unless you're going for track, then it's different. Just my 2cents :)
