1) What's your favourite set of tyres?

Pirelli GTS for my scooter

2) Why?

Because the technical specs convince me and the design which I believe is for touring use.

3) How many km did it last you?

10K KM already the bunga all still there looks perfect.

Ya, its slightly oversize for RVF... up to ur choice, coz i using 014 now, quite like it! slightly not as sticky as 090, but mileage wise seems better then 090 lor...

for a sport bike like R104 ?

and at anytime i may pop up at PG for a track session... so i need both requirement in a single set of tyre

I'm repeating this......Pirelli Diablo CORSA. IMHO. It's rated by Pirelli as a street and track tyre. Great for both. However, if you want better mileages and wet grip, take the Diablo. However, I strongly suggest you go for Diablo Corsa cause you go track. And dun run the pressure too low in the Corsa for tracks.....33psi is fine. Any lower, you are gonna be wasting rubber only.

Do not know the exact model.....but Dunlop, Bridgestone and Pirelli does make tyres suitable for SP150. Pirelli's one used to be call Dragon.

Anyways, having rode a 2B bike, I would say most tyres for road commuting is almost the same. Corner into sand, skid. Into oil, skid. Raining and start getting heavy on throttle, skid......Big bikes also are the same anyways. It's just the price that differ.

My advise is......make sure the tyres are still fresh, meaning not harden.......have the legal groove depth (check the marker tie bars).......sufficient and suitable air pressure......check periodically for cuts, nails and oil spills (Oil will deterioate the rubber), most tyres would serve you fine.

 LAB stocks up tyres for you bike....plentiful!!! Price, my GUESS is $200 for a pair. Super 4's Dunlop Radeen cost only $240 a pair.

Dun waste extra $$$ on sticky tyres when you do not need them ie. to say, you are a commuter, rather than a track craze. Sticky tyres would wear out too fast, harden too early, and you would need to change often.

Hope these helps.

NSR150SP have much much smaller rims, Pirelli Dragons are good for rim width of (at least) 3" wide for front and 4" wide for rear. Therefore base on thumbs of rule, its not logical to pinch a Pirelli Dragon (assuming 110 70/17 front and 140 60/1 rear) into the rims of a NSR150SP, you will disgustingly deformed profile and you be in big risk riding with that kinda set up.

A more suited tires for such machine will be either a

Dunlop TT900GP

or

Bridgestone BT39SS

The sizes will be 90 80/17 for the front and 120 80/17 for the rear.

These tires should set u up for about $150 per set. Considering the affordable price, Grip comes at a bargain and who will ever complains when theres too much grip, likewise who will ever complain if theres too much money.

Hope the above information helps you to make an inform choice for tires.

Sorry about the mistake, as it's just based on memories 5 yrs back.....I never rode a SP150 then, but rather, a TZR. Saw the Dragon at a few bike shops before including LAB.

It's call MT75 now.....just check on the web. 5 yrs ago, there's a few models of Dragons from Pirelli. My fault that I was not specific enuff and cause this misunderstanding.

Hw bout bt-020 for rear tire for nsr150???

Dun think have that size for your bike......UNLESS you are thinkin of using the Front BT020 as your rear tyre, I suggest not..... :giddy: It's not safe as the Front tyre is design and handles different from the Rear tyre.

Take il4's recommendations and use the proper tyres.

Maybe IF Bridgestone has a BT020 Rear made in the 120/80-17 size for our region, ignore what I've said.
