The Contiforce Max work out pretty well for me in PG, at 32F 34R. Somehow, I dun think I was slower than on my RS2....yes, the rider plays the big part and I am slow, so Contiforce Max is just fine for me.

Nothing hairy, nor scary happened.....just that have to warm up for a while. I took 3 laps to warm them up, just to be sure. Able to get to the edges easily...

Running at 36F 42R is too hard for the rd.....dun seems to take bumps well. I opt for the 32F 36R, which is 2.2bar and 2.5bar respectively. Tyres felt better in terms of cold grip after a good scrub from the tracks though.

At a price of $400 from KinTai at Deskar Rd, I think it's a pretty good price. But they do not do installation. Labour will be paid for at your fav shop. So dun bother buying it from KinTai, waste of time.....just get your fav bikeshop to order for ya. I paid $50 for balancing and installation at my routine bikeshop.

At first I was a bit :sian: by the price when I know RS2 is $360 from LAB, BT014 is $330 from HKL, Supermaxx is $300 and so on and so forth.....but after the tyre price spike, I am a happy man now. Hope KinTai did not bring up the price of Contiforce Max.

new tyre price increased by $60 ~ $100, anyone know what happened?

my fren called HKL today and found our Sportec M1 cost $450 now!! :giddy: :giddy:

Remember couple of months ago, the news was talking about price spike of raw rubber due to shortage of resources......I was glad THEN that rubber for our bikes stayed stable as I knew I'm gonna due for new rubber. Guess like happiness is never long last....... :sian:

At a time I could not make up my mind to change or not to.....as my rubber is not "botak" yet. Solution??? Upz the frequency of PG a tad more, and get myself done and over with old rubber

For class 2 sportsbikes tyres common sizing(180rear and 120 front), what are the price range (including fixing and balancing) for the most expensive and the cheapest? Thanks.

Be happy always :-)

hello folks, has anyone tried the new Diablo Strada tyres? any comments for it? the specs on the internet seems pretty goood leh

hi bro, my friend is currently using the pirelli strada on his fz1. his comments is that its worth the money spent. 450 @motorworld inclusive of balancing. the tyres have been up to kl. spent half the day at awana playing corners with this tyre. verdict good even in wet. of course just dont be over your head when i say this. ride with caution. on the dry, its as good. track?well he doesnt go track.

if mez4 on track, then i shud say go for it. cos i did. and really pushed that damn tyre hard. its really up to u. go with wat u feel. if today u dun feel like the tyres can corner, then dont.

Just wana share this. My two cents.

Im currently using pirelli dragon evo. Yes EVO. ure not mistaken when u see this. got it for 330 bux at HKL with balancing. now im sure u guys are gona say this tyre expired bla bla bla, old model bla bla bla, but I still love it.

for me i had a choice to go for 450bux of the pirelli strada which my friend on another fazer is using. but due to budget decided to get the evo instead. used this tyre to go up to KL and played corners at awana genting highlands. no regrets...

honestly, i did my homework before i got this tyres. i read all the past reviews and could only find little fault in them. they are good in the wet if u dun push it too hard but they are simply good on hot tarmacs of KL. on that day i knew my 330bux was well spent. my pressure was 34 front, 38 rear. slightly hard but i feel comfy with this setup. a lower pressure would be fine for cornering purposes or trackdays.

spent 2 trackdays with this tyres. verdict : was able to keep to the normal times i had when i was using the mez4 previously on track. i might have gone lower timings but maybe my technique or lining may be wrong. how my tyres wear : they didnt get to the edge yet !! i hit my footpegs first on both sides. u can see my foot pegs if there's a meet up. but my tyres didnt get to the edge which means the fazer can go lower somemore !!

anyway im aint talking bull here. i just post what i experience. right now, im just cruising to work on these sweet tyres. a waste as u might say and i agree. but no choice. but with 99 bends one traffic lite away, heheh wat u think...? *evil grin*

so here's my verdict:

mez4 on track, pressure front and rear 31 : 2min flat

pirelli dragon evo(present) pressure front 33 rear 37 : 2min flat

how do you explain track riders using race take off tires??

In general, if you get your tires warm enough , you will have no problem provided its not at the wear bar indicator or tires that was being plug. of course your confidence of your used tire seems to cloud your motivation to go that extra edge.
