able to share whats your km/litre under such circumstances ? Thanks.

fz8 has a 17 litre tank which is made up of 13.6 litre plus 3.4 litre reserve. Approximated.

Thus if to reserve I hit 200km, that would make it ard 14.6km/l. This 100% full urban start stop traffic light plus CBD area jam with slightly heavy right hand.

For the rest, with majorly highway route, their km/l would be ard 19-20 depending on the right hand too.. I do get ard 19km/l to 20km/l too during my reservist to and fro PIE.

Hope this helps in ur decision :D Of course if u want power, then fz 1 would be a better choice though..

Thanks bro, 800cc will be as far I will consider. So I guess a bit of highway added, 16 should be very safe. FZ1 defn out for me as I'm on the island 100%. And based on my 929 exp, its way too overkill, engine too heaty leading to discomfort. And made worse that I cant enjoy wailing for 1st 4 gears legally like my Version S. Thanks for sharing.

Erm belly pan yea. Yup2 been doin some research here & there. as much as possible. yup i stick to 5k rpm for the running in period. but sometimes exceed a bit la. Kancheong liao

Hi Bro, in that case think u are the perfect comrade to ask.

May I check , whats the respective speed for each gear 1,2,3,4,5,6 based on 5k rpm? Many thanks.

Erm sory bro. i cant exactly remember the speed on each gear but roughly for me gear 4 to 5 cn easily hit 100km/h... a bit scared to rev hard my new bike la. Also i will increase to gear 6 to increase my speed smoothly... i stayed at 5k rpm max i go is 120km/h. :cheeky:

Thanks bro. That means the range is similar to my prev 929 at low to mid rpm. Thanks again.

Do refer to ur manual. From the online manual:

a) 0-1000km, Do not operate at > 5800rpm for prolong period. After that, change oil filter.

b) 1000-1600km, Do not operate at > 6900rpm for prolong period.

c) >1600km, the bike can now be operated normally.

Note that for a) & b), it says "prolong" and not "do not". However, there is no clarity on what they mean by "prolong".

A) should be 0-1000km max 5800rpm. 1000km change oil filter and engine oil.

B) should be 1000-1700km max 6900rpm.

C) 1700km onwards up to you already lol...btw the prolong mean u cannot hold the max rpm at the said running in period more than 2-3 sec. To make it simple just go below the max rpm recommended during running in
