Frazers is lovely ... mountain scenes .. fresh air .. the twisty road ... and the Gap - can only go up n down during odd/even hours ... someting to remember im sure ... great photo opportunities

 

Will need 3 days ... i wd prefer weekdays .. a much more pleasant ride ...

 

Lets try for 14 - 16 Jul (wed - fri) ok, den we have the next day (sat) to rest ...

My new job kept me from doing my 2A test. Gonna have to rebook at a later date maybe in July or Aug. Anyone going in to pump petrol in the next two days? I happen to have 3 days off on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, namely 13th, 14th and 15th June. Anyone wanna go in on Monday afternoon to Bukit Indah for petrol, shopping and makan?

a) apply for leave etc

b) service the bike

c) pack

d) buy riding safety gear eg. riding jacket, touring boots etc

e) purchase travel insurance

 

Lets see how many are keen ... a ride to enjoy, not for speeding beyond legal speed limits ...

Fraser's Hill can be reached through the Karak highway. Turn left at the Bentong junction and proceed to Teranum. Alternatively, one can take the old trunk road route heading towards Penang and turn off at

Kuala Kubu Bharu for the drive to the Gap.

 

The last 8 km from the Gap to the top of Fraser's hill is along scenic, narrow winding road which carries one-way traffic from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

This stretch (35 min to 45 min) is for one way traffic during the day and 2 way at night. It is narrow and wide enough for one car only except several stretches where 2 cars can squeeze through.

 

Gates (Lower Gate & Upper Gates) control the passage of traffic at the last 7km stretch to Fraser’s Hill. The gate times are :

 

Going Up (Odd Hours)

07.00am – 07.40am

09.00am – 09.40am

11.00am – 11.40am

01.00am – 01.40am

03.00am – 03.40am

05.00am – 05.40am

07.00am – 07.40am

 

Going Down (Even Hours)

06.00am – 06.40am

08.00am – 08.40am

10.00am – 10.40am

12.00am – 12.40am

02.00am – 02.40am

04.00am – 04.40am

06.00am – 06.40am

lol... dun haf to go so far... GP can wash bike at EnY restaurant behind... rm$6 oni... if go bukit indah can makan A&W...

oh u riding up there or?? im staying at a small place, hallmark hotel or puri hotel near jonkers... im riding up prob around 7 in the morning, rather ride in the nice cool wind rather then the mid morning and afternoon heat..

yeah, u exit into GP, then turn left into GP Town. u can see the petronas on the right? then there is a EnY restaurant(indian muslim makan place) there? its beside that place, open from mon to sun from 10am to 7pm... bike washes at RM$6...
