Looking for kaki's to join me for a Ride Up Malaysia...

 

Its a 1 DAY TRIP

My Bike : Spark135

 

Travelling Speed : 80km/hr

 

Distance : Looking ard 200km(one way)

 

Move Off time : 730am GP Esso

 

Expected time of Arrival : Evening/Night

 

Destination : UNKNOWN..

Details of the Trip on 9th July (Saturday)

 

Destination: Endau Rompin Waterfalls

 

Meeting at: END of PIE, the bus-stop before the roundabout @ 5.45 AM SHARP

 

Confirmed Going: HaiR1, nabil15

 

Coming back Singapore: Saturday Night, before 9pm

 

Things to 'Must' bring: Passport/Whitecard/Cash - Ringett and Singapore Dollar, Touch &Go, Cash Card, Raincoat

 

Travelling Speed: 80km/h

 

Bikes: Spark and CB400

(Spark overhaul - running in/CB400 just change tyres today - running in)

 

Bring your camera to capture some good moments at the falls (:

[TRIP REPORT] - RIDE ON 9TH JULY

 

We ended up going too: Genting Highlands!!!

Total Distance Covered (Leaving home and arriving back at home): 900.4 km

Acheivement: Yahama Spark made it up all those slopes on Genting (His bike just overhaul and running in!!)

 

Obtacles along the way: Learnt that many roads in KL blocked due to protest, thus we headed to Genting, that too with a RISK!

 

So we met at 0545 HRS on 9th July, headed in Tuas Checkpoint, cleared customs...and started making our way up E3, followed by E2...to Yong Peng. Then turned off to Route 1. However when we were half way there to Endau Rompin Waterfall, we learnt that it had been closed off, due to a person recently dying there. Thus we made a wasted trip on the Route 1...and returned back to the E2, North South.

 

Then we decided shoot up towards KL, and see how far we could go, aimed Melecca at first, but then when we reached near...we decided just shoot to KL instead and spend a night, since we're almost there. Plus the Yamaha Spark wanted have his virgin ride to KL. We didnt know there was a protest going on the same day at 2pm. We learnt that roads were blocked off, just at Seremban. And that's when we decided to head to Genting Highlands. Took us a good 2 and half hours going up...Spark was going at my speedo 50 to 60km/h only on the normal roads. So was a tough ride.

 

Reached up at 1900 HRS, just before sunset. Tried check in, though we didnt have prior reservations...but all were full. So we just ate dinner, rest a while and at 2200 HRS we decided to shoot back down and back.

 

After accompanying Spark till the Seremban, and the E2. I told him I'd make a move first...and shoot off. I reached back home at 0300 HRS.

 

Good Ride indeed...oh and the Spark messaged me at 0700 HRS, he just recahed home (:

Climbing uphill to Genting Highland...beautiful mist and cloud passing by.

Hahaa, but I going 65km/h on my meter (80km/h on Yamaha Spark speedo). So confirm ur K7 fry up leh.

 

I also wont ride soo fast if I go alone, abt 120km/h is fine la...maybe next ride we can go KL eat lunch. Will sms ya ok @darkdragon88

Anyway, you guys didn't wait till sunrise then come back? No hotel lobby to rest uh? Its kinda dangerous for a small spark to ride alone from Sem at midnight i guess...

Along the way, 3 cls 2 bikes, two frazer 1200cc and cbr600 met him and ascorted him all the way back to Singapore. One in front one behind and one on his side...they were coming back from Hatyai.

 

Saw him at camp today, he had a great ride back...he felt like he was some king. hahaa.

Nothing beats...riding at the dark of night...crusing 140 -150km/h lights all on, highbeam...reflectors lit by my headlights, felt like you were flying a plane down the runway!! Awesome, simply awesome @samuelftw5

Normally I wear a riding jacket.

 

For this trip I wore just a normal long sleeve shirt and my raincoat jacket - bell raincoat.
