This is wrong. Even with license, the insurance does not cover the 'tester'. In the event of an accident, who to answer? I don't think tester will believe that statement. As for the seller, he will just disappear and reappear and say you trying to steal the bike to save his own self.

Hmmm.. yahor. forgot bout that. hahaha. at least the tester's balls wont snag big time if he has license thou. imagine both w/o license n insurance...... hahaha. the TP will sure smile big big seeing the tester's smile go small small. :faint:

oh ya, OT abit. if in this case, wads the diff between being caught w license but no insurance (meaning not rider's bike) and being caught w/o license n no insurance (obciously this lagi jialat). just wanna know the damage done like summon diff or revoke etc.

simply say, get license before getting bike la guys. safer nia. :thumb:

Owner of the bike will also kana. So if im the seller i usually will say no to test ride bike unless really constraint areas mabbe like condo. And most buyer respect that and agree to test bike on me pilion him.

Cos if not if you test my bike anything happen i will just say stolen and i just notice it.

just wondering, if riding w/o a valid insurance is a big deal even with licence...etc. How do you tests a bike that your potentially buying?

Tests the bike with the owner around or abandoned area?

if so happens TP appears and catches you then wtf?

actually i dont see any point in testing a bike before buying

cause most likely you may not be used to the riding posture or characteristics of the bike, therefore everything might feel "weird" during the test ride anyway

the bikes that i bought so far all felt weird, strange and different when i first bought them but then i grew to appreciate them as time went by

also, if you accidently drop the bike, how are you going to settle with the seller? or how is the seller going to settle with you?

personally i have greater peace of mind testing the capabilities of the bike after its been paid for and transferred. then i know that if anything unforeseen happens, i am the only one who needs to answer for my mistake

boring rider. with a boring bike.

too old to want to appear interesting anymore.

hmmm... most of the bike shops i been to, around ubi, bukitbatok, does allow potential buyers to test ride their used bikes, usually on a small stretch of road...

reasons to test may vary.

some may be fussy buyers tryin to know everything they can about the bike first b4 commiting to it.

some may wanna feel how the bike handles.

im sure shops have already taken into account the issues being discussed here.

maybe someone could ask their regular bike shops bout it to clarify the matter?

and also,

if im not wrong, mechanics have paper work to ride any bike, without insurance.

this is so they can properly tune and service customers bikes perhaps.

racing in traffic...

1) Bike shops are not allowed to allow potential buyers to test ride their bikes.

2) Mechanics have any rider insurances.

1) Why cannot test ride? cos insurance doesn't covers "you" so its an offence

2) Mechanics have any rider insurance with accordance to the classification that they have obtained. So mechanics with no license, cannot ride anyhow. Mechanics with 2B license can test ride 2b bikes only.
