TP is always right?

hi people,

 

Yours truly was recently being booked by a TP for parking on double yellow zig zag lines.This offence constitutes a $120 fine and 3 demerit points.

 

The fact is, not any part of my vehicle was on or within the double yellow zig zag lines. I parked right after the lines end knowing it would be a cheaper fine if i were to be booked. I even got down the vehicle to check that the van was not on the lines. ( It was a good 3 feet away from the lines)

 

Naturally, i felt incensed by the summon, so i wrote an appeal letter to TP. It got rejected. Then, i sought my MP and got him to write an appeal letter. That letter got rejected too.

 

Yesterday, i personally went down to Ubi to lodge an appeal..Guess what the appeal officer said..."our officers are trained!how are we going to face the public if our officers make mistakes?"

 

Despite how hard i tried to convince her that i did not commit the said offence, she turned me down flat.

 

Heres what she said (after she got bored with my explanations):" if u wanna dispute this decision, u can tell the judge at the court. BUT let me warn u,not saying i do not trust u,but it is my duty to tell u that the fine will be much bigger than this sum if u do not compound the offence now and go to court."

 

Was she indirectly telling me that i will lose my case?

 

Those TPs (traffic pests to me..haha) wont make mistake?they are only humans....

 

I understand in this case, its words against words.But i really feel hard done by this accusation.Its not about the fine$$$, but being wronged is hard to swallow.

 

By the way, i have checked the rule before i lodged my appeal. It clearly stated "parking of vehicle on or within the zig zag lines".

 

Anyone gone thru this before? I would like to hear views and advices from anyone who would like to share.

next time take a picture of ur vehicle.... its ur word against their's... no proof also LL...

Ha, about the same thing happen but mine was book by HDB pple (FIne

$100 bucks for parking on Double Yellow LIne) but there is NO YELLOW LINE at all !!!!!!!!!

 

when i try to appeal n expalin to them, they die die say HAVE and i demand them to take a look at the place where they park. In the end they say i FINE for parking on the OPEN SPACE of HDB. LOL

 

But end result they waive off my fine but hav to pay $5 plus admin fee

its easy to doctor a photograph with the technology nowadays!

so what chance do i stand against the more dictatorial forces?

of cos i would have parked at one if there was one. It just so happened that the stupid barrier of that multi storey car park was spoilt and it was hanging at a lower height whereby my van cant get in at all!

 

The next car park is at least a kilometre away...plus im unloading pretty heavy stuffs and rushing for time...

 

It was only parked there for like 10 minutes..wasnt obstructing any vehicle in any way!

gov will do anything to have more money in their pockets , but how they going to do that? summon summon summon , suck you dryyyy... end of day give back you abit of the money as a bonus. Then suck you dry again....

 

got a fine for not parking in bike lots when all been taken up and that is like everynite's problem. Those cold heartless beast ... just want money instead of hearing you out.

Where is the location and what were the lines there after or before the zig zag lines ?

think abt this... if u 'accidently' killed someone... u still get charged for manslaughter...

 

althou in this case not so serious... only parking nia... the TP will still charge u becos u 'deliberately' illegal park...

 

now comes the debate if u really deserve the hefty punishment... even if u go court, the judge will ask you if u noe u are parking illegally... the answer from u will definitely be 'yes'... so as the saying goes... u noe the law u still break the law... so extra punishment will be handed out...

 

since MP help u appeal u still fail... then i think chances are very slim... bottom line is u noe that parking there is illegal... u can say,'i doing my work...' and the TP will reply the exact the same words to you...

let the public read and the tp will at least bother

to read up and reply

 

i guess they will ask you to refer to them

fight your case again?

But law by law, they should hand out summon equally and fairly..yes i have broken the law but do i deserve this fine?

 

its like i accidently killed someone but im charged with 1st degree murder now!

 

And yes the TP will tell me hes doing his dirty job..but hes definitely not doing his job well!

yes i have included everything i said so far in my appeals..but heck those appeals now...im peeved because they still dun wanna revert the summon and kept on insisting that they will never be wrong!WTF right?

Yes, ST will publish if you have a decent kinda of lines n facts, full details of everything include your particulars. The govt people usually will get your details n call you to handle this kinda of cases..maybe same kind of explanation when u got at the TP Hq. Then ST will include the reply next as in... the bla bla bla have arrested the matters to the writer...bla bla bla.

Well, i can only say that we are not like the states where we can sue the sh*t out of anyone for some dumb-fu*ked reason and still win millions of dollars. Its basically your words against the whole traffic police department and there's no way in hell that they are ever going to admit to that mistake or any mistake that they make. Unless you have concrete evidence that they summoned you for the wrong offence. witnesses, photographs etc. Even so they might juz try to silence you.... lol
