$200 at HTH!!

Good workmanship. Very patient guys and they were hammering the brackets and making custom ones so that it fits.. About 2 hours work time after half an hour of brainstorm. Thumbs up!! Nice humble mechanics.. Gotta go back adjust abit more though cause if I carry something huge like a backpack infront of me, the left side will touch nbk's knee.

update: after final adjustment and fine-tuning, both boxes are well clear of my knee, regardless of how forward i can functionally sit, as well as the fender being clear of the brackets during heavy fork compression+full lock, however unlikely. as for alignment, both are nicely level and of indiscernible fore-aft, with a nice touch of front tilt.

filter canisters? nopes, but we might have a centrifugal filter within the engine compartment that might need cleaning once in a while.

Omg guys!! Just wanna check something important!! My Tiger is over 2 years old ready now. (2yrs 2 mths to be exact). I have always changed engine oil / spark plug every 4 monthes. Past 1 yr +++ have been going to Unique Motors, cause I find their service quite good compared to other bike shops. Anyway, today I found out that my Tiger need 1.5 litre EO instead of the normal 1 litre I change everytime. The mechanic even show me that really used 1.5 litres!! OMGGGGG... Issit true Tiger is 1.5 litre??! Anyone can verify this???

bro is the shiny part of the aluminium foil at the inside or outside? i wrapped mine with the shiny part outside.

i wrapped it with the shiny part inside, thou it should not make much of a difference :) and if u have hi-temp spray paint, a nice outer coat of it wud make it look much nicer as it makes the wrap blend in with the bike, u wun even know its there

EO is generally good for about ~2000km, while sparkplug is generally around 10,000km-15,000km, dont waste money by doing things prematurely or over extending its lifespan.

it should ONLY use 1L. did he check with the dip stick? its not suppose to fill to the brim. if it uses 1.5L of it, means something is drastically wrong inside. 1L in means theres only enuff space for 1L.

alternatively, did u change ur dipstick before? cud be the wrong length, hence it measures wrongly.

There used to be a practice that if there's an oil filter change, top up another 500ml of oil.

Thanks for the replies guys!! Keep them coming in. I am seriously O.o now... not sure whats going on. My dip stick also doesn't have the markings on it to show whether it is overflowing or what. I took it out, cleaned it, stick it in and pulled it out to check, but not sure leh... gosh I am seriously mindF*cked now.

Tiger is same engine as Phantom. Both dont have oil filter and both need 1L EO. Dont care about what the mechanics say. 1L is good enough. 1.5L is way too much. It will cause the EO to foam and there wont be enough protection and can be bad for the engine in the long run. Do what you have been doing so far. Just 1L and thats it.
