I suppose you can get your brake hoses from unique... they have installed hundreds of them... so they are very experienced...

they have hel and venhill brake hoses... I use hel

k thanx! i just got them installed this afternoon at unique motor. i didn't feel the effects immediately but after some more test rides i noticed much stronger braking power at high speed. also brakes are only slightly more responsive than stock but definitely an improvement. come to think of it i havent changed my brakepads in 2 years.. VidaK whats the best brakepad for our ta200?

wow... now that is prompt... glad that you are feeling the brakes... :cheeky:

well... TA200 isn't a performance bike... and it is not meant for taking awards for the shortest stopping distance... the rear brakes is quite harsh to begin with... and with the steel hose, it is even more responsive... beware of losing grip from the rear tyre on wet conditions... one advice is that do not even tap on the rear brake whenever you clutch in (probably when you are down shifting).

and back to the point... steel hoses will eliminate the spongy feeling of the brakes... but... as for brake pads... there isn't really a "best" brake pad for TA200... as long as you replace them once they are worn, you would be fine...

I think planet's honda brake pads coupled with the steel braided hose are more than efficient.

Will steel braided hose make the lever feel very stiff n breaking more abrupt?

Depends how you interpret it. I would describe it as 'more responsive'.

Can put in front and not the back??

sure why not... but most people just change all... shops can charge a ridiculously high price for just one hose...

well... TA200 isn't a performance bike...

lol to me it is :D

Not sure if the improved brake hose is worth the expense. The stock braking performs just fine to me. I'd rather use the $130 for some aftermarket rear suspension. Well, part payment thereof.

just another update.. the steel brake hoses are definitely an upgrade. braking is more responsive and definitely isnt too jerky. feel abit more safer n confident riding my phantom than before.. at least for me that statement is true :) now i just need new seat covers n cat repellent..

edit: ohh i need a bigger rear box too. mine is currently too small for 2 helmets + raincoat.

Steel hoses give better braking response. As for stopping power that is best improved with as you said, better rubber (Super4 tyres!? they cost a bomb!) and Brembo rotors and calipers!

Nah, reaching the limit of natural aspiration and stock components is fun enough for now :3

yup.... it's good for phantom to get a better braking responce for the front... rear brakes = forget it lahz..
