XR125 Keeps Farting...

Hey peeps!

Im super new to riding & to this forum as well as slackriders.

Bought 2nd hand Xr125 6 mths ago where the previous owner used it for only 1 yr.

After my 1st trail, i notice my bike keeps backfiring. Everytime i drop gear. Went to workshop & they told me its fine so long as it does not distrupt my gears and speed.I ask for carborators to be cleaned they said its fine n not to worry.

 

Is this normal really??XR125 peeps???

are you using aftermarket pipe? if you are not, it shouldn't be backfiring..

 

cause the stock carb have not fuel/air mixture adjustment.. the only way to make adjustment is to change the main jet and pilot jets..

bro archer, xr125 stock carby do have air/fuel mixture adjustment...in fact all carby have unless the bike using fuel injection system la..heehe...the main/pilot jets are components in the carby dat can be use to tune the carby when we set it to our sea level altitude..cheers manz...

bro, tried before.. no use.. the screw on the outside is just a dummy..

 

have to change the jets internally to trial and error to get the right setting..

 

not much of the xrs have to do this unless they got aftermarket pipes..

personally, I did worked on the carby on our fellow xr125 peeps....also did a simple "honeycomb" mod and jetting to unrestrict the stock settings...the stock carby to me la, kinda simple to work on...and i did set the air/fuel screw mixture settin on some..maybe i haven came across anythin yet so maybe i did not see..heheheh..cheers too..bro archer....
