Halo Simon,

currently tyres are new using MZ4.

Just that when turn the handle bar to the left/right

it seem that there is a force make it turn all the way.

check out with motorshop, he say that steering is too tight that's all.

may not be that your steering cone is tight... sounds like a worn steering cone that needs replacement... :giddy:

Usually when the top or bottom steering bearings if worn out or damaged will have a "locking effect" when you try to steer the handle bar from center position to either left or right. Just a rule of the thumb....

You can sent your beast to 500 aka Gopal for checking. He tightened and loosen the cone disc for mine when I went for tyre change 2 weeks back for a mere fee of less than $50.......

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

hi amen23,

steering core should not be tight,

tight might indicate ur clone bearing had wore out.

the steering should be smooth and stable(not tight).

simon or gopa r the best people to test ur bike. u can trust thier word

btw i stay at sembawang rd.

visit and check with different bike shops...and ask for quotes. I belief sometimes when your at lost of what to do we tend to trust whatever the bike shop says...so even the most popular among Sts rider here may not be gd for us.To each his own...go to a bike shop your confortable with.

$50 for loosening...? its jus a matter of loosening and some knocking on the steering cone.pLUS some trial rides...i guess mayb can get less for that somewhere else...

Yes.....you are absolutely right. The price that I quoted may seems steep. The same shop may charge me differently from others due to the fact that I don't normally frequent there. Thus the charges will surely varies....They are looking after their regular bikers afterall and not forgetting making a living.....

Should try out other shops too if they can offer a better price.... :thumb:....

Agree with you totally......

Guys,

At wat RPM u all set for ur idling speed, when headlight is off/no.

hi amen23,

owners' manual recommended for 1000+-100rpm. it's just only a guide.

basically depends on individual. when light is on the decrease for ur rpm is very little.

hi MARCUS inthesun,

normal riding speed along trunk road should be less than 120km/hr for safety reasons, the actual traffic condition will main decider.

dont worry, no one will be abandon cus of slower speed but not too slow ok?

Hi guys,

Any of u have problem to engage into gear during high rev.

Happen to me when 1st to 2nd and last night think should be 2 to 3 or 3 to 4. Seldom have this problem. Is it the clutch worn out or something else.

Have you had your engine oil change after you had the bike?? If not probably could be engine oil need to be change.Whatever it is , try go for the basic and minor solution first then go for the bigger ones...Btw, Worn clutch plate could be a factor too causing difficulty in engaging.Hope you solve the problm..o_O
