Life is full of ups and down, I call it roller coaster ride.

When you are going up, you will have all the anticipation of fun and trill and get to see all the nice scenery. But when you sense that it is going down, you will wish it would stay there forever but the thruth is its not possible.

Before you know it, you are on the way down and only thing one can do is

hold on tight to yourself. If cannot take it let it out by shouting.

The higher you went, the longer the sufferings.

But when you are at the bottom already, you will try to think of those nice moments up there again. But at the same time fear the coming down part.

Some things are, we know it yet we still go and try it.

Till the moment we are off the roller coaster on the platform, some people suffer and puke while some are enjoying the process and laughing to their joy.

Hi there,

I may help you in someway, those things in or under the fuel cover the tube is a breather to release the fume built up in the petrol tank this tubes can be seen mostly on big fuel tanks only...

There is a knob in there just sticking out beside the refill cap is...to adjust your RPM fuel air mixer...only adjust this knob after your engine is really warm up..

Take it slow when you are on a new bike learn how to control the speed, the character of the bike, the ability of the bike, handling, weight, balancing.....it is a wonderfull bike learn slowly...take your time.....

Fuel consumption I don't think it is that high, your throttle control... is very important...

Do you have the bike manual, follow it check it to your mileage what need to be replace or change....e.g. flush radiator, replace brake fluid and so...

Gear problem??? mostly cause by over heating of engine, the gear not easy to engage....

Have you change the Engine oil...before you purchased the bike from the shop maybe the earlier owner,or the shop did not change....if not...you know what to do..(it's only an advised) but it always advisable to go back to the shop if they are reliable, if not BoonSiew is the best even thou $$$....explain to them what excatly the problem is... there are other WKSHPs out there...too

I hope this may give you some piece of mind...:goodluck:

hi Normen11,

i'm not Big Bro leh.. :D just helping if i can only.

ST1100 started as early as 1989, in between many models r manufactured according to different countries' requirement for emission restriction standards. the model codes r the symbol of yr to yr improvements.

97' or above P.E. model will be wise, market price range from Sgd8k-16k depending on condition.

if u have anymore doubts kindly call me, or join us for outing to get inspired by this ultimate touring machine...

hI NORMAN,

This is nothing new regardless ST side panniers or top monokey boxes, there are always some cheap buggers going around. They have been noticing you... for sometime already......

They are after your helmets and jackets only so its not advisable to leave in (lock in ) your $700 arai's or few hundred dollars worth jacket inside...park at a open space where you can see the bike or well lighted area....if can better still make friends of those fellow riders (regardless what they ride) park at the same area this helps alot...so they knows that this is your bike.. and you are the owner..

If you see any suspicious character in the multi/s c/p just ring the npp let them do their work you maybe helping yourself or fellow riders in there...or maybe drivers..

Replacing the lock is not so expensive but having another extra key for the new lock is inconveinience ...safe riding Bro...:thumb:
