there are 2 ways to run in your engine, hard or soft. just like intercourse.

anyway, hard running in consist of revving high and shifting late. this is meant to even out the irregularities withnin the moving parts when they are fresh out of the factory.

soft running in involves staying below a rpm limit and steadily increasing throttle rather than all out open.

for your spark, i say nothing will really happen as far as your ears or eyes can tell. beyond that, we don't know.

both ways give the intended purpose but i sleep easier knowing i run in my engine soft rather than hard. some like it gentle.

do take note that running in period fuel economy is not accurate.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

Hi there.

I just got myself a brand new bike too. Now running in.

To make the running in faster, keep riding the bike at the given speed limit by your mechanic till its time for its first servicing.

Do read up on your bike's manual. Its helpful.

Im not too sure about going above the speed limit.

Don't worry, it won't cause any serious damage.

(correct me if I'm wrong)

Peace

If u don't know how to do hard run-in, then don't. U gonna end up with a damaged engine end of the day.
