i think u r really mixed up. innards doesn't ride fz6, and the guy with loud pipes on fz6 doesn't have h&b racks. neither is that his number.

 

 

aiyah..the one selling the rack is not the FZ6 guy lah...thats why tats not his no...:faint: :dozed:

To all of you who have their TPS change,whats your output?

 

I felt my bike just got a little pinch today...for the 1st time since i bought the bike,i have this situation...while riding off to 3rd gear,throttle still open,bike died as if the throttle cable snap....have to stop at road side to restart bike...then its ok...never happen to me before...normally its the usual clutch-in and bike die...but this is different...

another problem,since replacing the TPS,when i want to start bike,on ignition,bike cant start...got cranking...off the key ignition and on back,then can start....happen about 3 times so far after replacing TPS...Take How also face similar problems...and the clutch in die situation still happening but on rare occasion...

 

although have to admit there's a better in throttle handling as it feels light when open throttle...

 

 

Is Yamaha really thought they solve the problems by replacing the TPS?i personally felt they sux big time in troubleshooting...:angry:

 

 

The other day you mentioned that you service your FI system...That may be the cause. Just a thought.

havent do...almost do...but cancel.so there's no other thing done besides the TPS...after having such problem,i tot battery also expiring...got it replaced...still have the problems...couldnt be replacing brakepads rite...:faint:

Never knw tat the FI have to be service, only thing tat i will do to is to dump some injector clearner (STP) to clean it up. I haven send my ride for the TPS change....... worried stuffs like tis will happen. A.J do update us abt the outcome.

Bro tis happen to me once along sle exit to tpe close trottle drop gear engine dies off wen back to HL for sevicing told them the problem mech said the fuse sometime dirty they clean it n so far ok.

It could be TPS prob too since u did mention when u throttle, the throttle cable feels like it snapped. Just a gentle reminder that TPS stands for Throttle Position Sensor. Go back to HL and have it check. They are humans afterall and humans do make mistakes.

you can actually check whether yr TPS is working or not yrself.

 

Use the DIAG mode to check

D01 is for the Throttle position-must be from 15-17(closed) to 97-100(opened)

Mine after changing the TPS is 15 and 97.

Past rides are already history....

Current ride: FW VFR 800 ABS

ok guys,since i m a very problematic person,here is another problem i faced..

 

when i ride,close throttle,then want open throttle again,the bike seems to dive in and slowly accelerates as if the throttle freeplay is set as such...hehe...bear with me...

I dun mind but I need to check with my the other half first cause I had been going alot of oversea trips last few weekends...kanna scolding liao. :sian:

 

If you got time...You can try this.

 

- Turn the main switch to OFF.

- Press together the "SELECT" and "RESET" keys & hold pressed.

- Turn the main switch to ON.

- Remember to hold pressed the keys for at least eight seconds after turning ON the main switch.

- The word "DIAG" should appear on the display.

- Validate the mode by pressing the "SELECT" and "RESET" keys for two seconds.

- The display should indicate "d01".

- Increase or decrease the DIAG code by pressing on the "SELECT" or "RESET" keys.

-It will get you into Diag 01---For yr TPS--reading will be 15-17

-Slowly turn yr throttle to max and see the reading.(7-100) anytime more than 100 means yr TPS is out.

-To resume back,just off the key switch.

 

Any problems just tell me.

The TDM850 was bought by a friend...but dun worry..i believe he will sell it in 2-3months...the last 4 bikes that he have been switching,is between range of 1mth to 2 mths...so just wait and see if the TDM is up for sale again...:faint:

i juz got from hl.. for less dan $400.. tat is for my 06 model... the guy told me tat he left few set... n for ur info, the oem one was easy to pull up.. unlike the H&B one

 

I dun mind if its cheaper if we M.O.But is it from biketech21?If its from there,we will be in a long waiting ride...

dude...sw motech also not hard to lift bike lah...it shud be ard 250ish....

 

btw James...i did check the TPS thingy...DO1 is 18,when i turn out max the throttle,it is 99....u said it shud be betwn 15-17 rite...so if 18 shud it be ok?i have no idea how to reduce it.,...
