Thanks Royksopp for coming down...and thanks to another member who jus bought the white 07 TDM who let us drools over the whitie TDM...

The airbox mod honestly i felt it...its at least 5-10% improvements on my bike with the Yoshi bolt on...i bet it would be better for those who use the street legal...my yoshi is a full blown aftermarket exhaust that has no restriction...i would still smehow need the PC....but it really does feels good on pick-up and i tried at 2ndlink just now...easily hit 195km/hr...maybe bcoz i didnt have any top box or sidecases on...and didnt try any further bcoz wasnt wearing proper gear...

maybe i will try for a week..and next week i will try pluging on the O2 sensor back...and i will monitor it again...

here's some photos of yesterday...i hope TakeHow didn't kena whack by gf...:cheeky:

Hello TDM owners... I've been following both Diversion and TDM forums for quite sometime.

It seems that both are similar except one is chain-driven(TDM) and the other is shaft-driven(Diversion). I doin a small research on what class 2 bikes i should get and preferably with touring ability.

After much consideration, Im left with two choices which is Diversion or TDM. Since im a beginner in class2 bikes, i got a few questions and hope TDM'ies could help me come to a decision.

1) Is TDM the sucessor of Diversion? eg. African Twin's sucessor is Varadero

2) How much does it cost OTR? (Rough guess if age 25-30)

3) Is it the same engine as Diversion?

Thank you so much AJ... I've made my mind to get TDM. Got good friendly vibes in this thread. At least i can roughly guess the price.

Hope you rest that running nose of yours and to hear you soon. Asked the same questions in the Diversion thread and were of no help at all.

dun worry bro...even if i wanted to buy a bike,i won't go for what the masses think or what the community is about...

i rather buy a bike that fits my needs, will make me smile and smile when i throttle the bike...even if people don't even know what model i ride...

lots of my fwens worry too much about what others would think about their ride...so they chosed to buy bike that people would recognise...well,i dun give a ****...

most of my fwens rode GS,AT,V-strom,not to mention those sporty bikes that would make others jaw drop when they see one...so what?in the end,the money you burnt every instalment is your own..

the reason why the TDM is not so well-known,bcoz its production never reach the USA...well you know these Americans, they will do alot of promos and exposure...and we all asians are so influence with the westerner...for you info,on ADVrider forum, alot of americans are still whining why Japan decided not making any launch of the TDM in USA...

before you commit to the bike, read and do reserch from the web about the bike...read the review...best,if you have a good fren owning the bike, sit on it...feel the posture...whether it suits you...ride abit and test..

but honestly,i m still not bored bout my TDM...only the draggy chain feel at the moving off part is abit irritating...

the only bike i would consider trading my TDM is,the V-strom650....light...able to source endruro tyres...other than that, its almost the same as my TDM...so why i bother changing at the moment...the TDM is very light for its class...no kidding...

what i would love for changes..

19inch front wheel.

taller wheelbase

higher mount exhaust

and basically thats bout it..

Good luck in choosing your bike...hope you've made the right decision...:thumb:

If you really considering the TDM,read from page 1 of this thread...its a norm...

AJ n all,

Fyi, due to a not so satisfy answer i got from Pirelli's new dist (sg) on Pirelli Scorpio MT90 (100/90-18) 2-3 weeks ago, i call Pirelli sg agent again today... finally, they tell me yes they hav de tyre n can get.. but later put me to the product Mgr, Mr. John; who's kind enuf explained to me very detaily on de loadings.. Hmm.. thk he shd be a bikes-guru.. he can tell de weight n top speed of TDM of hand when i answered on our ride (TDM).. after some explaination, he actually spare some option for me and said.. Ultimately, de choice is stil ours, what he can say is only advice.. as we're riding and paying for it.. Haha.. :thumb: :thumb: up for Mr. John from Pirelli sg

Hi, would like to adds-on my 3 cents..

Answer for Q 1 & 3 = No, but tdm 850 are link to Yamaha's Super Tenere aka Super 10 (Ten); a big trallies from yamaha, before ATwin time (If not mistaken)

..and tdm is on 'parallel-twin' (some call straight/ in-line-2, also de recent

F800 bmw + Kawa's Versys 650), Diversion is on 'in-line-4s', meanwhile ATwin, Laladero & wee-Strom are in V-Twin...
