Yo Victor... I'm thinking of fixing the projector lights I just got from Lord Kmax to his TDM instead of mine. Hahaha!!!

 

Thanks for the compliment on the topbox. Too bad the sideboxes too big for my liking. Else woul have got a set! Black alu are quite an acquired preference. Most ppl prefer the silver alu with black borders for better contrasting look.

(thx to virus and kmax) I am thinking of the HB Alu Standard 35L the smallest one, the width is slightly wider than the handlebars. Just went to Chan M-technik, quoted me $900 flat rate...Can get cheaper but must bring leong along haha

TDM headlight position can be adjusted.. to be high or low...

 

most Singapore TDM on the road is adjusted on high side..

Chao CB! Some mother****** stole my Yamaha Tire caps, Terence was kind enough to leave them on the tdm for me and some arsehole stole them. Only realized when i felt the bike being very draggy...so went to pump air...then CB! caps missing!

 

Guyz You may think parking in NUS is safe but that place is full of thieving students. Please beware. Second incident, last round some arsehole broke my rear signal lights and ran off. PLease beware

This comes in 2 sizes. 46L and 33L. Model is Trekker (TRK46 & TRK33 respectively). Haven't seem this in Singapore before but I reckon being Givi, it shouldn't be very expensive.

Hi to all,

 

A series of unfortunate events had just happened.

 

1. Bike battery flat and cant start. Too heavy to push start. (I am a weakling)

2. Bike towed to workshop to rectify.

3. Battery was replaced and bike can start.

4. Mech check and inform battery not charging due to faulty magnetic coil. He then told me need to check for stock at agent and must wait till Mon. Further informed that rectifier might also need to change.

5. FML.

 

Any brothers out there lately just replaced their magnetic coil and rectifier? Whats the damage? Once the parts are changed, how long will they last? Any help is greatly appreciated.

do you have volt meter ? what is the reading shows ? my coil burnt before and the obvious symptom was volt meter showing gradual drop, 13 to 12.. 11 and 10.. until one day cannot start (last for about a week)

 

new coil is about 320$ + GST from Auto Machinary, gasket 10$, labor 50$, old batt can reuse again after charging. i changed mine at planet motor , ubi.

Yes bro, the symptom was obvious. I started the bike the night before and voltmeter only showed 10.5v. I open throttle and the numbers wont budge.

 

Now I only hope that there is stock for the coil. Bro what about rectifier? is there a need to change it as well?

 

so the coil for sure... that time.. ah chong (planet) helped me check the rectifier, it was working fine..

so is your old batt, can reuse after charging...

 

coil sure got stock bah...

 

(and pls keep the old coil after u change).. @twinterror can re-wrap the coil.. (for spare use)

Twinterror I have bought 2 pieces of Shoei Multitecs already. Cannot wait bcoz my old AGVs were decaying on our heads, visors keeps breaking, cracks all over, vent break, scold ppl also cannot lift up mouth piece. So i went to Regina and bought already.
