I sold off e fazer6 n bought e gsx1250fa . Wifey will be using it but we will exchange once awhile (the intial plan but I've been riding it for the past 3 days ) . It's so smooth n very quiet but I still in luv wif my TDM !

Not a good day yesterday.

 

showed glenn last week how unscratched my screen is...and then a tree branch fell and hit it when going to work...left some smudges here and then. good thing it's not a huge branch nor the entire tree! sigh...no more nice shield to show off.

 

1/2 day work, so went to JB...pelangi leisure mall - to get some stuff. parked near to security guard, about 10m away. when i left, i could not brake (front)...brake oil leaked. check the bike but couldnt see anything stolen. that ******* tried to steal the caliper! he was probably squatting on the other side of the guard...but i thot the TDM caliper does not fit the rest? maybe i'm wrong.

 

anyway, rode slowly to the nearest bike shop...topped up oil and tightened the bolt...and then to cuci kereta for a wash. RM2 for the brake oil only...

 

i guess the attempted theft happened during off peak hrs...it was around 3+pm where there are few shoppers. i always parked there for hrs when going for movies, and nothing happened, cos the human traffic is heavy. well, maybe will cover the bike and paddlock the cover in front & back...

Wahhh....!! KNNz... It would really spoil ur day if the fxxker managed to get ur calipers man. I think it might be those small time opportunists idiots. See the caliper blink blink with blue pistons greedy liao.

They can do wonders bros ! Just like my former FJR . . . . the idiots can pry my left pannier from my bike n fled off in a car ! Best thing . . . me n my Fren was sitting abt 15 m away and it was 12.05 pm n we were at a petrol stn wif alot of human n vehs ! !

 

Bike was parked on side stand wif alarms activated !

Lucky not a tree fall onto yr bike or else...

 

Consider yrslf luckily as the thief is not efficition ! Cos wi the right tools and skill, can easily remove yr calipers all within a minutes... Maybe he is riding an R1... LOL...

Gone bro ! We were resting at e petrol stn wif our riding jackets, gloves n helmet off . When e guy pried my left pannier , he dashed into a waiting car n left ! We gave chase but it was a waste of time . E speed during e chase went up to 180 kmh on e small trunk rd wif heavy traffic . I gave up cos it will either ended wif me crashing n die or my fren facing e same thing .

 

I ended going back wif only e right pannier .

Front caliper is top and hot stolen parts(especially right side),

its able mod(just add a bracket) in to small bike with front brake disc

Just to clarify, I do not know whiich one of u insisted that the secdem screen will result in Cracked front cowling, I think you've mistaken it for the eagle screen which is way larger than the secdem screen.

 

My bike do not have a cracked front cowling...

Dats why ppl should buy TDMs direct from owners. This is a rarity bike liao. Bike shops turnover will be enough for a complete mod of accessories!!

My bike do not have a cracked front cowling...

 

U ride too slow mah..... Hahahahaaa!!!! And as for me also with a Lau Eng screen, my Gu'ling is still intact too. Cos my old balls forbids speed above 140kph. Hehehe!!

Difference is that the bike shop is able to provide loan... You can't... And bikeshop wun extend a loan for your bike because they dun earn anythiong from it except for interest.

The current interest rates for a bike loan (6-7%pa) is really darn steep. I did a calculation previously and for those who have credit cards should consider getting those '0%' term loans. Admin fee of flat $250 for some for period of 6,9 or 12 months. Pay monthly as much as u can afford and not only the minimum. When the loan repayment is near expiry, get a fresh loan from another credit card. This in fact would save u some money since the subsequent loans are based on lower principal sum. But this requires alot of discipline and owner should always pay the monthly diligently and get a reloan before the current expires since the new interest would be 24% or 11% if cashline overdraft.

 

With this 'trick', u'll own the bike and it's not under hire purchase. And hence the perm form A under LTA states the bike as fully paid which means for those who dun wan comprehensive or 3P/F&T insurance as required by loan companies can save a couple & get 3P instead.
