Don't run salt in my wound, or for your case, pour fuel into the fire! Sold too cheap. But u can sell at ur own price lah. Ask if Rahmat wants to swap. He finds 30L too small.

hey guys...

i just returned from a 1-month trip...and my battery is flat! i just changed my battery less than a month before i left.

 

what are my options?

1) call a mechanic to my place to charge the battery? he would have to remove it and charge at my home...

2) i remove battery and bring to bike shop, and hopefully can start my bike when i put it back.

 

the last time the mechanic changed the battery...look quite difficult to remove battery...very little space to move it out of the slot.

 

feeling out of sort...havent ridden my tdm for a month (

 

If don't have charger, can remove the battery and bring to bike shop and ask them to help you charger up for a little kopi fees...

While I never tried removing the battery before, I thought it looks relatively easy to remove. Just undo the clamps, then yank it out?

 

Actually, its pretty simple to remove it... But its a tight hole... LOL...

 

But remember when removing the battery, always must remove the Black Cable (-ve) first then the Red Cable (+ve)...

When putting back, Red Cable (+ve) first, then the Black Cable (-ve).

 

If not, if the cable touches the bike body, good luck... Money bless...

So many different type of bikes, sportsbike, cruisers, tourers (adventure & sports), scramblers, street, nakies, and now big scooters are also popular.

 

If go back to adventure tourers and must be Jap, the only existing new ones are Super Tenere, VStrom 650 and Vesys 650. New models coming out in 2012 are Honda Crosstourer, Kawa Versys 1000 & perhaps VStrom 1000 soon will also follow the 650.

 

My TDM COE still has exactly 1 yr. Still duno to continue ride or sell. Bike is serving me well and I'd done quite a few stuff to the bike. If I were to change to another adventure tourer, my preference will be F800GS & Super Tenere. Will have to wait and see the Crosstourer too.

 

But.... My actual preference will be a nakie. Ducati Streetfighter, Yamaha MT-01, Kawa Z1000 etc. But these bikes can't put boxes as it'll look so weird. Unless life is kind to me and I'm able to afford a 2nd bike!! Hahaha!!!

yah, it's really tight...and i dont have much practice unlike some of u. just unstrap first, then wriggle about and thug in and out...and oh, i attach the -ve first and i hear some zapping sound as i attach the +ve ...fortunately it didnt touch the body or i'll be fried!.

Haha.. No la.. I like my Tdm very much.. But there's is jus one thing that puts me off.. The power and speed is not good enough for me.. I love everything about the Tdm except it's top end and pulling power when in high gears..

But the pulling power in high gears not good ?

Have you try pushing the beast, abit ? Try the red line, 1st gear can hit at least 80km/h, anything above 2nd gear all is illegal speed...

 

If I'm not wrong, this beast can hit 100km/h within 3.5sec...

The bike pick up from low gear is vey good.. But when in high gear cant make it gain speed faster.. Example is like yesterday I was cruising at 150kmh.. I wanted to over take a car so I down gear and rev up.. But the speed still crawls up pretty slowly.. Not like fazer where u jus crack the throttle and it shoots.. Haha.. That's the pulling power I talking about..

I usually don't even need to downshift when I overtake. Just a quick turn on the throttle and the parallel twin screams forward. Exhaust does make a big difference. Not only the sweet sound, but the engine feels free'er and revs effortlessly.
