Although the twin is discontinued in Sillypore... I reckon most parts are still easily available and HL being the yammie agent is still bringing the parts.

 

As for usual servicing, ur usual workshop would be more than able to do it. Of course if u experience something like what bro DivineCreations did, which is when the mechanic asked if the bike is a VStrom, u know u better do a donut followed by a burnout let them smell ur smoke and never turn back. Hahahaha!!

 

Kmax frequent Planet Motors at Ubi and the crew is quite familiar with TDM. If u prefer slow and not as crowded workshop, u can also consider Combine Motors at Sin Ming Autocare. These are the 2 I visited as well and most likely I'll return to Combine cos it's nearer to my place and ain't as crowded.

 

Agreed, better slow and steady than fast and sub standard

 

Parts wise, normally I'll get from Auto Machinery... And ask your mechanic to install or change.

 

 

If not stock they can order for you from HL... If HL also no stock then they will order from Japan. All within matter of weeks, not to be afraid of no parts available.

 

Used to ride DR6, have to wait about 5months for the parts to arrive, that's call SERVICE SUPPORT ?

We are arranging a day ride perhaps to Genting on 12/2/12. Do go to TDM FB page and 'register'. 1st time joiner must treat all riders red bull at 1st pitstop. Hehehehehe

greetings all. kinda interested in this bike. planing to re take my class 2 around march. anyway to view this bike at any bike shop? anyone selling? are parts available in both sg and malaysia?

Hi there... Good choice to consider the TDM when u get your licence. Tis is definitely a very good bike.

 

TDMs are quite 'rare' and most owners will hold on to this bike for awhile and if they sell usually will be within the forum instead of to the shops although one of the ex-owner traded in his TDM for a FZ1 recently. Last update his TDM was sold yesterday.

hopefuly i'll get my class 2 b4 june. anywayz, i like wat usaid abour rare bike in sg. i already owned a hyosung 250 naked which is rare here. now, for my third and final bike, i wish to get a tdm. actually im more a kawasaki versys or er6 fan. then again, seeing my budget, im scouting for a bike similar feature that to the versys. i see the diversion as fat and bulky. later on, i found one that suits me hopefuly. the tdm 900. i wish to keep this bike for long.... very long, unless im broke, then no choice.

Yes.... In fact as far as I know there are minimal differences and if any are mainly aesthetic. Externally the only obvious difference is the frame colour. '02 model like mine are silver and the facelifted is black.

No worries. Me too can only go for day trips on weekends. Work & family commitments forbids me from gg overnights.

OTR $33-34k no joke leh. My wife is so going to stare at me if she knows the price. To think that the TDM was selling below $20K new previously?

 

Another option is to spend couple grand to really do up the TDM. It's already a 'collectors item' given agent stop bringing it in. :)
