I c alot of KR with only half-fairings on their side nowadays. Issit bad for the bike innards in a downpour? My friend had this idea of replacing some fairing parts with those tough looking metal gauze once. Din get around to do it, though.

i don't have fairings in my gixxer and police hanve't ever say anything yet. Will see what inspection say when i bring my bike there. Only i'm wondering is my headlight since it's not original, but doesn't have higher volt lights than original have. will see when time comes.

I think I've read that full enclosures ala bullet style fairings are illegal, no idea why, since modern fairings don't create dangerous aerodynamic lift when banking! (that's a problem from the 60s!)

Hmm... the nearest I can link it to is those car bodykit/spoiler etc. The catch to make it legal is to use original manufactuer kit or Aftermarket brand which makes the specific kit for specific model. Link as follow,
