cheapest is @ Bike Production 29.5k OTR... without IU & Insurance

It should be around that price when I make my confirmation on Sep 2010 at Southern. Excluding COE, Paper work fees, insurance & IU.

Still waiting. Guys what rack u guys use for it bike n what's tr best way to run in the bike?

My way, not best way. Just ride as per normal. Try not to prolong cruise on highway on same gear constant speed. Do lots of gear changes. Occasionally rev up a bit maybe 6.5k - 7k but don't stay there for long. Do your first oil change early. Or follow owner manual. Many ways and many different opinions

mtechnik does have stock for s10's hepco accessories. no worries.

 

anyway, seems like I wun be able to join u guys soon.. might be posted overseas soon.

and what's painful is, there's no confirmation yet. ugh.

wah.. Patrick one time can ride so many bikes ahhh...

run in got many methods, some follow manual, some go for dyno hard run in, some just dun bother..

i'll choose dyno hard run in, fastest and most effective way to run in, SG road conditions dun really allow you to follow manual..

 

go mtechnik or biketech21 to see the full catalog of H&B accessories for the bike..

i think S10 uses a adapter for a universal rack to be fitted on the bike..

top box can be fitted on pillion seat or the factory rear rack.. but you need a adapter to mount the universal rack..

correct me if i'm wrong..

i just order explorer black for my DRZ, intend to transfer to S10 to use..

mine not so fast, just enrolled CL2 only.. but i fractured my ankle on friday.. so gonna wait till it heals..

planning to buy it end of the year earliest..

Stock base plate gotta remove n install w e hepco plate..

Actually there are few brands of accessories you can consider from the following below, of course there are also DIY 3rd party players out there which you can see from adv rider forum.

 

They offer a wide range of accessories, However my own personal opinion / concept are always lesser the better to avoid thefts and also performance + minimize excessive wear and tear. But due to practical reasons then have to put on at times.

 

What my opinion on necessary accessories are engine guard, bash plate, larger panniers + top cases, sufficient lighting. Not forgetting BUDGET. haha

you just need to remove the stock grey coloured base plate and mount the H&B universal mount on the black colour OEM rack..

 

you only need a adapter if you are mounting the box on the pillion seat..

 

what colour is your S10??

 

Essential items/accessories are the guards: engine, skid plate, headlight.. (H&B is good for me)

other good upgrades are bigger side stand foot: H&B ones are still too small..

For my case, I'm using a xplorer top case with a dedicated base plate (does not matter what series of cases as long you are H&B it should fit on any base plate)

 

BUT base plate wise there are two types,

1, Universal H&B base plate for all range of bike (I personally nvr install or see before on S10 yet)

2, Dedicated base plate for S10, which means like what biting_point mentioned, The OEM base plate + grey plates needs to be removed then and install H&B base plate.

 

I hope i'm not confusing you or the rest.

My bike will arrive on 9th of may. Told bike production I wan either blue or black. He say must see stock haha. Now hope Coe will drop only

 

Oh ya Richard do u change Ur engine oil immediately after pushing bike from bikeshop?

I collect the bike on the evening eve of deepavali last year then straight away ride to ipoh - cameron hill for running in. Then change mineral oil. Basically i use what ever ready for me.
