Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had their bike hit by someone before and the culprit ran off?

My bike was hit bike someone at the car park last night and the person was actually nice enough to pick it up for me. However, the culprit did not leave his contact but fingerprints.

I had made a police report.

What I wish to find out is that what is the entire process like?

And what I can do? Is it really just LL suck thumb?

Regards,

ahlex@sgbikes

LL suck thumb.

no eyes witness.

the one who pick up your bike might be other bikers.

the police will not be so free to attend to this kind of matter.

the police will take it as a "mischief".

this happen to my car and bike.just to share with you

To leave some comments highlighting on what you stated may affected those kind-hearted souls to help others anymore.

What made you confirmed that the fingerprint belong to the culprit causing the fall of your bike?

If I saw your bike fell and out of good will, went and pick up your bike and of course will LEAVE my fingerprints down with contact on your bike. But yet you wanted to charge me with your police case. What do you think if you are helping others in picking a fallen bike as what you had experienced now.

Afterwhich, do you expected any more kind souls around to pick up fallen bike?

Think it only LL case for you. Hope your bike did not suffer too much damages.

erm i understand that there might be a possibility that some kind soul helped me to lift up my bike... but i was just thinking with the fingerprints can narrow down the search and perhaps allow me to thank the person and if the person had seen who hit my bike he may become my eye witness.. i think either way also helps right?

but i guess after reading the comments its really LL suck thumb.

i think you see too much CSI miani already.:dot:

unless your "bike" is being murdered than the chances of the police will come and take picture and fingerprint.:angel::angel:

Not once had any police called me back regarding what i have reported before.. All those stolen item from my bike or when my bike has been knocked by a vehicle. All i can say is park further away from car entry/exit point. As for those bloody thieves maybe you can park in the middle of two bikes.. that way they may have a hard time stealing what is your and advert their attention to another bike LOL just joking.. Perhaps we should place camera on our bike like one of the thread in here who install camera in their car and caught the perpetrator 3 times!!
