Bro, to my understanding (and I may be wrong) the reason to use shampoo and clean water to wash your bike is to remove the residues, dirt, grimes and not forgotting the harmful acids from the rain! So as not to spoilt your paintwork or chromes lor. But if 'dry clean' works for you for so long already, I guess it's ok bah!

Dryclean is what I did for most of the earlier 6000km but recently spotted a lot of road grime buildup in the undercarriage in front of the rear wheel. I wouldn't want to try to dryclean that area!

hahaha! thats true bro... but i just use dirty cloth to remove e oily build up, then i use another cloth with chrome polish and clean off... then it become squeaky clean... :p

dry clean at petrol station...get a adaptor to connect to tyre air pump...blast dirty area with high pressure air..

if this doesnt work..modify a bottle with noozles at top opening and bottom. add water/soap..feed the high pressure air at bottom of bottle..and viola u have a regular high pressure water pump. this should do the trick..

haahha! this one power! super fast can clean! :)

hi fellow Pkers,

ytd suddenly had the urge to removed the grease at rear tyre rim...

had a very hard time after struggling for 2hrs, giv up, still leaving patches here and there look even worse than before....

any good , easy and effective way to remove these grease =)

currently using handwashing soap and normal sponge... nv expect the rock oil create such stubborn and sticky residue

Best method which I've shown to a few PK bros is the method which kmjoe mentioned. Simple and fast without fuss! Just spray some WD40 or RP7 on a piece of rag and wipe it gently! You can even see the shine instantly!

Next clinic topic - DIY waterproof toilet paper roll dispenser thing.

May prove useful for marking hazards on roads too :D

Just spray some WD40 or RP7 on a piece of rag

Which can also make a flaming torch in dire circumstances. Or just put a lighter in front of the WD40 and you can then use the flamethrower to sterilize such nuisances as ant nests, wasp nests, etc. Not on the bike of course :D

More down to earth:

Apply turtle wax on rim to resist dirt? Easier to clean? Would work in theory since stock rims are painted aluminum.

install an oiler...the oiler throw off will make cleaning rims very easy...no hard core grime but rather soft type with a toilet paper can wipe clean the rims..

tried and tested method..no need to spend$$ on wd40,rp, soap etc..

this is dry cleaning no need water too. hhehe can used preused papers too..very green method..

wow, where can i purchase this wonderful device??

if its unconvience can pm me too

most proably might get it after i replace my chain this wednesday :cheeky:
