hi throttle, how is US bond bought? did u buy thru internet, or local securities? thanks

Dude, bonds trade OTC so the best way is to buy through a market maker.

in my case, i bought using my private bank account.

local securities house or even a standard broker may be able to get it for you if they are market makers or through their secondary bond trader,

however, the comms would be high and prices may not be as good.

0.5% to 0.75% seems to be the comms pricing on the street.

That amount is out of my league.

Today i picked up Capitalmall Asia at 2.19, looking to make the difference of 3c from the Cland buying price.

Sold capital mall asia at 2.23 this late afternoon, made 4c per lot.

Was thinking of picking up goodpack in view of the M&A, but today oclosed at 2.44, 6c short of offer price. Returns not worth the risk, if M&A does not go through price most likely will retreat...
